When Pidge woke up, she groggily looked around. As the large pile of unfinished projects that was her desk can into view, she realized she was in her room. She also realized she had never came back to her room herself. She blushed, her cheeks turning as bright as the red lion. She hadn't meant to keep Shiro up so late or fall asleep, but his presence was comforting. She also felt the relief of no longer worrying about him, as it had lead to many restless nights.

After getting up and changing into fresh clothes, she headed towards the kitchen for breakfast. As she entered the room, scanned around looking for Shiro, but frowned when she didn't find him. Keith who noticed her walk in, motioned for her to sit next to him.

When she kept searching the room, he told her "not to worry", and that "Shiro was still asleep."

Once again her face burned in embarrassment. She was saved from a reply as Hunk came in weighed down with breakfast.

After eating Pidge went back to her room with the goal of finally getting around to cleaning off her desk. Just a few doors down however, Shiro sat lost in thought.

Shiro kept going through the events of his miraculous escape over and over in his mind. Most of it didn't make much sense but one thing stood out. Kuron.

Despite the questions of his time on the ship or how he escaped his mind always went back to that one word. He had heard the word only once, from some unknown voice, while waking up from a drugged sleep in the interrogation room.

The logical part of his mind told him to ignore it but the word haunted him. He had dreamed about it, and it kept pushing out from his subconscious. But when he thought he had blocked it from his mind, the word and all the confusion surrounding it would suddenly return out of nowhere. With it also came a feeling of fear and restraintment.

Shiro shook his head in an attempt to clear it. He decided to head down to the kitchen for a late breakfast when the feeling hit him. As he was standing up he felt a wave of dizziness over take him, along with a pounding headache. He staggered backwards to sit down but fell to his knees instead.

The pain continued to increase and he held his hands to his head moaning and shaking. He saw stars and felt himself losing consciousness. He gave in to it welcoming the release from the pain and crumpled to the floor.
