Allura, Lance, and Hunk re-entered the control room to find Coran frantically steering the castle away from danger and Keith fuming.
"What were you thinking?" Keith roared. "We've lost our chance of reaching Pidge and Shiro! And now that the fleet's gone, they could be anywhere and we have no way of finding them!" Sure enough the Galran ships had disappeared from view.
The three paladins started talking at once but Lance yelled over the sudden commotion. "What did you expect us to do! The black lion was too far out of range and meanwhile were were being attacked by fighters on all sides!"
"The red lion should have been fast enough to catch up in time!"
"Red took a hit to the thrusters, remember?"
"Then I should have been the one to fly red. I could have avoided getting hit!" Keith snarled. Lance recoiled.
"And you two." Keith said directing his anger and Hunk and Allura. "Why didn't either of you reach them in time? How do we expect to be defenders of the universe if we can't even save two people!" At this point Allura interrupted Keith's rant.
"Keith this is no way to treat your fellow paladins. We are all worried about Shiro and Pidge but that is no reason to fight amongst ourselves"
"Yeah" Hunk started. "Don't worry Keith. We'll find them, wherever they are. But Allura's right. We need to work together and not overreact."
"I am not overreacting!" Keith yelled. "We just got Shiro back and now he's gone again!" With that he stormed out of the room.
"Keith wait!" Allura called after him but he ignored her.
"I'll go after him." Lance volunteered and followed in the black paladin's wake.
