Abella and I eat breakfest then go and sit in the living room trying to figure out what to do today.
"What do you want to do?" I ask her.
"I want to go to the park!" Abella says as we sit in the living room.
"Okay the park it is!" I say with a smile.
"Yay! Park!" she says doing her own little happy dance. I laugh at her lightly then get up and go to the closet.
"What should we bring?" I ask her.
"Ummm a ball, frisbee, and..." she says off in thought.
"How about we bring a jump rope?" I suggest. She looks at me and brightens up from the idea and quickly nods her head yes.
"Yeah!" she says. I smile at her and grab all of the items from the closet, we then proceed to walk to the garage and get into the car. We then drive to Central Park and find a parking spot, we walk through the park until I find the perfect spot.
"How about here?" I ask.
"Ummm...." she says examining the spot. "Yeah!"
"Okay," I smile and then set down the large blanket we're going to sit on. We lay on our backs and stare up at the clouds up in the big blue sky.
"When I was a little boy my dad and I would look up and try to find shapes in the clouds," I tell Abella.
"Reallys?" she asks me. I nod.
"Yup want to do it?" I question her.
"Otay," she nods her head in agreement. We look up at the sky for a moment when I spot a teddy bear in the sky.
"See right there?" I ask pointing at the cloud.
"Yeah," she replies nodding her head.
"It looks like a teddy bear," I say outlining the shape.
"Oh yeah!" she exclaims looking at it.
"Your turn," I instruct. She looks up for a moment then brightens up.
"See dat one," she says her small finger pointing up at the sky.
"Yeah I see it," I say following her finger.
"It looks like a lollipop!" she says popping the 'p'.
"Good job!" I exclaim to her. She smiles proudly then goes back to searching, I look at her as her blue eyes twinkle as they look at the sky. Her brown curly hair pulled into pig tails, her sundress white with small flowers covering it with white sandals.
"See that one, it looks like an orange," I say to her.
"No it looks like a circle!" she says giggling at me.
"Yeah but that's what an orange is like," I point out.
"Still if it's a circle you can't put a name to its!" she says.
"Well I still think it's an orange," I say a smile on my lips.
"That one looks like an ice cream!" she says pointing to a cloud. I nod my head in agreement as I look at the cloud. When on catches my eye, I smile looking at it.
"That one looks like a dragon," I say pointing to it out lining the shape.
"Oh I sees it! It looks like the one in Sleeping Beauty!" she cries out in happiness.
"It does!" I exclaim excitedly to make her even more happy. When ever she smiles I just have to smile because she can brighten up the whole room with one look. She gets that from her mom, how she can light up a whole room with out even trying. Or when she laughs it rings through the whole room. Abella is the perfect mixture of Lani and I that's for sure, she has both of our personalities and our looks it's just amazing to watch her.
