So... More of a song type thing I am experimenting with. Being a trombone player I only read base clef, but some of my more musically inclined friends are helping me build chords. I hope you enjoy!
Fly little songbirds
Fly away
Point your wings
To the coming day
And when
Little songbirds
The sky does play
The winds will help you
Find your wayFear not
Little sparrow
Sing your song
Voice your heart
The whole day long
Even when
A note goes wrong
Sing little sparrow
And I'll join alongSoar little swallow
Soar up high
The wind is strong
And the moon is nigh
Glide over corn
And fields of rye
Spread your wings
And you shall flyFly little songbirds
Fly away
Point your wings
To the coming day
And when
Little songbirds
The sky does play
The winds will help you
Find your wayTalk little finches
Chatter all night
Stories told
Of warmth and light
There is no need
For you to fright
You know it will
Be alrightLook little raven
At the world around
Though right now
You are earthbound
Someday you'll escape
This twig built mound
And explore
The skies profoundFly little songbirds
Fly away
Point your wings
To the coming day
And when
Little songbirds
The sky does play
The winds will help you
Find your wayThe mournful call
Of the winter wren
A warbler's melody
And then
The shrike's call
Will haunt the fen
And echoes of those
Never heard againFly little songbirds
Fly away
Point your wings
To the coming day
And when
Little songbirds
The sky does play
The winds will help you
Find your wayFly little songbirds
Fly away
Point your wings
To the coming day
And when
Little songbirds
You fade away
Your songs in the breeze
Will forever stayForever your songs in the breeze
Will stay
