Azora

"T-t-thank you." Azora slurred, her mind a empty haze of toxic waste that she drowned herself in.

"Go home." The cab driver pushed her forward, toward the house she tried to avoid.

"M-m-my parents are l-l-liars!" She hiccuped again, her voice disgusting and loud.

"Whatever." The cab driver said, angry at the damage the little blonde magic girl had done knowing he's send the bill to the family later.

"I'm home!" Azora screamed, as she stumbled through the doors of her home to her mothers stressed out face.

"Azora Victoria BlueLand!" Her father David yelled, he was angry always angry.

"What!? Gonna try and act like parents?" She said, her toxic high floating down to sober anger.

"We are your parents!" Her mother, April said her eyes filled with tears.

"Ya ya April, totally." Azora said, not realizing she called her mother by her first name.

Her mother ran from the room sobbing, that was the hundredth time she had made her mother cry.  She was a horrible daughter, a horrible girl with horrible powers that she couldn't control.

"Really Azora? You're grounded." Her father spoke, his eyes looking at her in disappointment as he chased after his wife.

Azora was angry, she hated hurting her parents.  Ever since she found out that she was adopted, she couldn't escape this feeling that they never truly wanted her.  Yet she knew that was a lie, she knew her parents loved her yet all the bullying at school and the weird dreams, and the meetings with a magic councilor who tried to get her to talk was driving her absolutely mad.

She decided to eavesdrop on her parents conversation the alcohol completely gone from her body like usual, never staying long enough to allow her body the freedom she longed for.  She was only 17 yet she felt like the world was pushing her face first into a lawnmower and her powers weren't strong enough to save her.

"Honey she didn't mean that." Her father said consoling her mother.

"She didn't call me mom, sh-she hates me." Her mother sobbed, her mother was a cry baby.

"Honey she loves you, she's just got a lot going on." Dad said, my mother continued to cry softly.

"I'm trying to help, I'm trying to accept she needs time but everytime i see my baby girl walk through those doors drunk I'm scared David." Her mom says, David sighs.
