you all said you'd like the opportunity to create a character for that thing I'm writing, so here's your chance for that
before I get into the rules and everything for that, I'd like to introduce some semi-major characters for that thing I'm writing:

Captain Cobalt! this lovely boy-o is the captain of his very own psychedelic pirate crew! he has a great deal of experience and has total control over his crew, though he lets them voice their opinions and make decisions quite often.
although he seems tough, Cobalt is just a big ol' cinnamon roll who loves his friends, and sees his crew as family. in fact, he's fallen in love with his Gunner, Lime ;))))))) . but, he can be mean and scary when he needs to be, though, and isn't just a big bundle of love.

Iris is Cobalt's first mate, and is essentially his second in command. however, this doesn't mean he takes over in the event of Cobalt's death, that job actually goes to Scarlett, the Quartermaster.
Iris is a very stoic but insecure dude. he has a hard time feeling manly and tough, mostly due to his feminine name. he's made a lot of bad decisions in the past that he regrets, but he tries his best to put that behind him and move on.

Scarlett is the Quartermaster, and is really heckin cute. he takes place as captain in the even of Cobalt's death, should that ever happen, and has a bunch of other jobs. if there is treasure, he divides it up evenly, and also inflicts punishments, handles the day-to-day management of the ship, and is the one to board prize vessels and decide what to take and what to leave.
