the story takes place in the year 1994, and is actually a prequel to a series I'm planning out
the book is called Marcel and the Damned, and I plan on posting the first few chapters sometime within the next couple weeks
here's what it's about in case you care:
The year is 1994, and everything is not fine. The Vampire Council's president is dead, which means a new election is taking place, and feuds are forming within the vampire community. Rumor states that Edison Quicksilver and Daria Petrov have made plans to wreak havoc on the council during its time of weakness, causing stress for everyone involved.
To top the chaos off, dead bodies have been popping up around the large city of Seattle, where the Vampire Council currently resides. The murder victims were not murdered by an ordinary human, and the mangled corpses void of almost any blood have the markings of a vampire all over them.
Marcel and his friends Maya and TJ decide to find out who keeps murdering innocent humans. Going behind the council's back, they continue to track the murders, and finally reach their suspects, Tom Kobayashi and Rose Vance. Newly turned vampires like Rose and Tom are prone to have certain murderous urges, unquenchable thirsts for blood. All evidence seems to point to the two of them.
But secrets begin to unravel as the three go deeper into their search, secrets that were never supposed to be unveiled. A series of dreadful events that have been locked away come loose, and Marcel, TJ, and Maya find themselves fighting for their lives against very powerful vampires, attempting to put them to justice, and hoping that someone else doesn't kill them first.
I always struggle with writing descriptions but uh hopefully this gives you the gist of what the book is about
