i'll probably post more detailed info about her species later but BASICALLY she's from the future and lives on this man-made planet that everyone from earth moved to after they fucked their planet up so bad (so, humans in 20 years)

the rings around her head and wrists (she has them on her ankles too) keep her alive and if they break she dies (if the head one(s) break) or gets paralyzed (if the ankle/wrist ones break)
the rainbow hair she has is part of a coming of age thing only the females of her species go through, once they reach a certain age and go through these, like 'maturity trials' and basically prove they're capable of being wives and mothers. if they pass the trials, they get to make the ends of their hair a solid color. since Cadance has rainbow hair still, she's still considered a little girl by other members of her species, even though she's about 18 in human years
also the little poofy guy on her head is a space dust bunny named Schnuff and the worm around her neck is a baby universe devourer named Tetly

i'd been wanting to draw Cadance for a while so this finallyyyy pushed me to actually do it haha
