Yes
I wear costumes
Yes
I stand on a stage
in the dark
Pretending to be somebody I'm not
But the difference between you and I
Is that everyone knows
this is a costume
And that I am not the same person
I pretend to be
But you
You'd like people to believe
That the cloths you wear
Make you something different
The differnce between you and I
Is that I can take my costume off
And go home
And be myself
But you
You dont know who you are
You'd like the world to think you're an athelete like Babe Ruth or Joe Damajo
But you're not
Because they werent wearing costumes. Thats who they were
You're just a kid
Swinging a bat
At a peice of leather
Because this isnt who you are
the differnce between you and I
Is that I know this isnt who I am
I know this is a costume
I know I'm pretending
Do you?
