Corruption: Finale Part 1

"We are arriving at the planet," said Night Mist; who was driving the Alpha Juggernaut. The rest of the team was in the ship as well, and they were approaching a version of planet Earth. The cities could be seen below. Elena sat behind them, silent, as if waiting for something.

"Alright guys, I don't know what we can do, but we must do everything to hold him back, until any kind of help arrives," said Humatrix.

"The Infiniversal Council can't ignore a threat for this long," said Mystican.

The ship went into stealth mode as it landed at the top of a building. The sky was dark, and it was raining endlessly. It appears that they had come in the middle of a rainstorm.

The planet looked like a typical version of Earth, maybe some cities had changed, but it was the same planet. People below were walking around normally, oblivious to the fact that something was coming straight to that planet at incredible speeds.

"Wait," said Humatrix, "I feel a presence in this planet."

"Who is it? The Corruption?" asked Flame.

"No, it is Genos, and he is here with somebody else," said Humatrix.

"Really? The ship didn't pick up their signals," said Nighto.

"Nor did I, until know," said Humatrix.

"I'll go check on him," said Night Mist. She quickly teleported away, and appeared were Genos was, next to him stood Beyonder.

"Genos!" said Night Mist and ran up to him, "Where have you been? And how did you get here?"

"I got help from him. He is a friend I met a while ago," said Genos pointing at Beyonder. He had a confused look in his face.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Night Mist," she said greeting Beyonder.

"Nice to meet you," said Beyonder. It was weird for him, he remembered going with Genos to a planet to buy mechanical enhancements... but everything after that was blurry.

"We better go meet the rest of the team. They are preparing to keep the Corruption from breaking through the planet," said Night Mist. The trio immediately reappeared back with the rest of the team.

"Who is this?" asked Flame.

"A friend of Genos. I think he is here to help us dealt with our problem," said Night Mist.

"I see. That's good. We need all the help we can get," said Mystican.

"So what is the plan?" asked Beyonder.

"Well, first we need to-" said Humatrix, but was cut off when the entire planet trembled. Through the clouds fell something and crashed in the distance.

"Is that the base!?" yelled Humatrix. Indeed, in the distance the Alpha League base had crashed. It had been crushed and set ablaze. The massive base could be seen in the distance due to it's massive size. It had holes all over the outer surface, and was completely crushed in other parts.

"Does that mean..." said Nught Mist as she looked up. in the sky hundreds of tentacles crashed into the planet. People ran in panic as the tentacles smashed everything in their path. Then the clouds parted way as a massive monster flew right onto the planet's surface.

"It's here! Come on, get the people to safety!" yelled Humatrix, and the team quickly started saving people from all the rubble that was falling around.

"Why is it attacking this planet!? Is there something of great energy here!?" asked Beyonder as he was getting people to safety.

"No, it has no reason for this! He has been attacking everything it sees!" said Humatrix as he created a shield around the people.

As the team kept attacking, Elena stood alone atop a building. Watching as the Corruption ripped everything apart. It would not be too long until it realizes that the Alpha League is there, and it will try to absorb them.

She had one final job to do. After leaving Overdrive, she had reappeared on the Abyss Union's base. She had one last mission to accomplish. And then she could finally pass away.

"Hmm... the lord of carnage is approaching. Fast. He will be here in just a few minutes. The Professor made a risky move, calling him here, but it was necessary," said Elena. She turned to looked at the city. The flames reflected in her eyes as she watched upon the destruction brought on by the snake. It had been her destiny to help Overdrive so that he could play his role in destiny, and then Genos would play his role, and then the role will pass on to someone else.

"Hmm... time is twisting. Overdrive will arrive soon. Good luck Overdrive. You will need it," said Elena. Her body started to shimmer, and soon she was gone.

"Finally, the end of the tunnel," said Overdrive. His wounds had healed, and his power had been recharged a bit more. The human part of him was about to disappear. As an Infinisapien, that had always bothered him ever since his incident. He held nothing against humans, but he disliked the idea of being part human. Thankfully, as his power recharged, and his body restarted, that part will disappear permanently.

"There it is, the last destination," said Overdrive. He stepped out of the portal. He looked around and so nothing but darkness. Everything was pitch black, yet he was standing on something. He heard footsteps, as if someone was walking on stone. He turned around and looked over in the distance. Walking towards him were his friends.

"Wait, there is something wrong," said Overdrive, "They are-"

"The Abyss Union," said the humatrix look-alike, Negamatrix, "Or as we were called before, the Alpha League."

"Why are you guys here!? Where are we!?" yelled Overdrive.

"Do not worry," said Night Venom. , "Our minds have returned to us. Or shapes have not though."

She looked at her hands, which were covered in a white material with glowing blue lines, and also had some black in them with orange lines. Remnants of her absorption of Matrixian dna. As Overdrive had seen before, the Matrixian dna actually had trouble merging with Infinisapien dna, and that is why Night Mist's father had excluded it from the list, along with many others.

"Your minds returned? What does that mean?" asked Overdrive.

"You see, a long time ago, Melanchulus, the snake of calamity, created a second Ideaverse," said SubFrost, clearly in pain due to his mechanical 'improvements'.

"Ideaverse? Is that your name for the Infiniverse?" said Overdrive.

"No. That is the true name of the Infiniverse. The Ideaverse. We rather not get into detail on that matter. It hurts our minds," said Hellfire.

"Back to the matter at hand. So we were the Alpha League of that Ideaverse, as you already know. The thing is that Melanchulus took us out along with others in order to torture people in this Ideaverse," said Mysterium.

"And why are you eight okay now?" asked Overdrive.

"After our demise at the hands of the monster that Melanchulus planned, our bodies were consumed. All that is left now is us. The original minds," said Negamatrix.

"Why am I talking to you guys? You have a way to stop the Corruption?" asked Overdrive.

"No. But we need you and the rest of the team to stall it for a while. According to what we have seen, there is a massive force heading this way. Something stronger. We can tell it was employed by professor Mark, in exchange for what, we so not know," said Dark Matter.

"I wonder what it could be..." said Ovedrive, "Time is running out still. I can tell I am back to the present time. And I assume that I am in the corruption's mind?" asked Overdrive.

"Yes. And you must leave now. Before it's mind consumes your body," said Night Venom.

"Well. Good bye you four. And I am sorry for what happened to you," said Overdrive as he felt his body disappear from the darkness.

"And now we wait. Alpha League... they better not fail," said Negamatrix.
