I woke up with a gasp, I was on the ground pantless but still was wearing a shirt and my vest. I looked around the room and found my jeans so I threw them on then slowly got to my feet moaning in pain. "Gemma?" I heard the door move so I looked around quickly for a weapon. I would fight them off if I needed to, even with my life. The banging on the door got louder and I noticed Gemma move, oh I just didn't see her on the ground. "Shh." I whispered not knowing who was there as I bent down by her.

"Gemma!" I heard from outside, was that... Unser? "Are you in there?"

"W-Wayne. Wayne!" Gemma feebly called out so I tried to sit her up but she flinched in pain so I fell on the ground next to her. I wouldn't leave her here. "Wayne!" Gemma called out again. After a moment I heard a gunshot, then another go off. As the door opened I got ready to put up a fight just in case but seeing it was Unser I fell back against the chain link fence in relief.

Gemma was gonna be okay.

"Oh my god." Unser spoke as he looked at us.

"G-Get... Get us out of here." Gemma added grabbing onto me so I started to move but cried out in pain. I bent over forward a bit and that's when I noticed the blood on my shirt. Something was ..... was it letters?

"Come on... Samantha can you stand?" Unser asked me going to get close to me but as he got closer I flinched away as those men came to mind. "I- uh."

"I'll be okay. Help Gemma, I can't." I spoke softly getting to my feet painfully as Unser pulled Gemma up, helped her get dressed a bit, before he lead her out to the police car. I noticed Gemma's car was here so I limped towards it and grabbed my gun out from underneath the seat before I climbed into the back of the squad car.

After a while of Unser driving I heard muffled voices from up front and I realized I had been starting to pass out. "How'd you know I-.... we were there?"

"I heard it over the radio. Recognized the description of the car."

"Anonymous tip?"

"Yeah."

There was a pause. I was happy the back of the car wasn't caged off or I think I'd have really bad anxiety. "You've got to tell me something here, Gemma. I'd ask Samantha but she's in and out of consciousness in the back."

"Where are you going?"

"St. Thomas."

"No."

"Got to get you to the hospital."

"No hospital."

"Samantha is bleeding from the stomach in the back seat and has bruises all over her face like she was pummeled."

"No."

"So, uh, what am I supposed to do here, Gemma, hmm?"

There was a long pause. "Give me your cell."

I fell back out of it, and when I woke up the door was being opened, and when I saw someone coming towards me I kicked and jumped back hearing Unser groan in pain. "S-Sorry. We're here." Unser spoke as I started to breathe hard. "Can you stand?"

"I'm sorry." I mumbled opening the other door then I got out. I noticed we were at another house I didn't know. "Gemma?"

"Inside."

I walked inside without waiting for Unser as I felt chills hit me with the thought of someone's eyes on my back. As I got inside I saw Tara and Gemma sitting on the couch. There was cotton on the table, bloody cotton, from Gemma's wounds. "God she's even worse."
