"So how was your first day at school? Meet any new girls?" My mom teases from the opposite side of the dining table. I gulp down my food feeling the stinging pain erupt in my throat as I choke.
"W-What?!"
Mom giggles, "I'm only teasing."
We heard the front door open and I already knew it was my father, who rarely ever came home. Mom looked taken back but quickly covers it as the elder man steps into the dining room.
"Evening." His tongue sharp as he spoke with such distance in his voice.
I shuffle uncomfortably in my chair avoiding my father's gaze.
"Good evening honey." My mom got up from her chair, greeting my father while she leans in to give him a kiss which he declines, facing away so that her lips come in contact with his cheek instead.
Hurt spreads across her face while my father sits down at the table, loosing his tie slightly. Mom serves him some food as he looks down at me.
"Jimin." he says sternly, "your studies better be coming along well?"
I purse my lips.
This was all he ever cared about, never once did he ask how my day was or anything about any of my interests. It was always 'Is your studies going well?' Or 'You better be getting good grades.'
"They are." I mumble, playing with my food, my fork jabbing against the soft meat.
"Excuse me." I stand up from my chair, "I'm no longer hungry."
I head briskly for the stairs,
"JIMIN! GET BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!" My father growls, anger seeping through his call for me to return to the dining table.
I ignore him, running to my room before locking it behind me.
He doesn't care.
He used too so why did he change? Why does he not care about us now?
I slump under my covers feeling small wet tears escape my lids. Before long, sleep takes over my body, making my eyes heavy as I drift off into a deep slumber.

"Jimin!"
I moan lightly while turning in my sleep,
"Jimin wake up!"
I could faintly hear my mom's voice through my wooden bedroom door. I sigh, lifting my fatigue body off the soft sheets that my legs were tangled in.
"I'm up!" I groan back, rubbing at the back of my neck.
"Alright sweetie. Make sure to get dressed and eat something before you go, I'm heading out to work now." I unlock my door as she speaks, giving her a hug before she leaves.
Walking towards my ensuite bathroom, I turn the shower on making sure it's at a reasonable temperature before stripping out my lounge wear and slipping into the warm shower.
After washing my hair, I jump out of the shower. Wrapping a white fluffy towel around my lower half. I quickly brush my teeth before making my way back into my bedroom. I ruffle my wet hair while looking inside my closest for an outfit to wear.
I end up going with a black and white striped long sleeved t-shirt, light faded blue ripped jeans, light brown timberlands and a black beanie placed over my light brown hair.
Skipping down the long spiral staircase, I head inside the large kitchen. I fumble around, searching in various cupboards before deciding to eat some cereal.
I scroll through my Instagram as I swallow a spoonful of my cereal.
I wonder if that boy has Instagram?
I knew I wouldn't be able to find him since I still didn't know his name but convinced myself that I will find out today.
I place my phone back in my pocket before getting up, taking my bowl along with me to dump it into the kitchen sink before heading over to the front door, picking up my bag in the process. I head outside, locking the door behind me before slipping my house keys in my bag.
I get inside my car and drive off towards school.

"Jimin!" Jungkook smiles, swinging his arm around my shoulder while we walk to our 3rd period class together.
"How's you're day been so far?"
"It's been alright." I feel a little sad as I didn't have music today nor have I caught any sign of the boy yet.
We make a right turn heading towards the class door.
The inside was decorated with various paintings, sketches and pictures as they were scattered across the beige walls making the room seem less boring unlike my other classes I had perviously been in.
Our art teacher, Miss Baek was busy gathering supplies for the class.
"Ah Jungkook, Jimin, would you mind helping me out?" She asks while dragging a heavy box from inside the cupboard. We drop our bags down on the nearest desks before helping her out. Jungkook and I take either sides of the box, heaving it up so that we are now carrying it over, next to Miss Baek's desk.
"Thank you boys." Miss Baek smiles, "I was struggling for ages trying to get that box out from there."
"What is this?" I question her, taking a peek inside the box, but she places a hand over the top.
Her grin widens, "wait and see Mr Park. I'm sure you will both find this project to be...interesting."
I frown my eyebrows in confusion at her words,
I wonder what it could be?
More students begin to fill the room as Jungkook and I take to our seats leaving Miss Baek to finish prepping herself for class.
"Class!" Miss Baek gathers everyone in the room's attention, curious eyes falling between Miss Baek and the large box behind her.
"Today we will begin our brainstorming for our projects." She states.
A boy behind me raises his hand, "What does the project have to be about?"
Miss Baek reaches inside the box and pulls out...
