Hi there! So, uhm... I shouldn't really be writing this because it would kind of be hypocritical but oh well. :p Long story. You can ask me if you're curious.
Jock (n.) : A young man in the States who is very enthusiastic about a specific sport.
Sub clause: May or may not be dumb.
Sub-sub clause: When used as a protagonist, he is mostly the guy you should not date.
Each teen fiction book that I have read as of now, there's this one jock. Who is also the main protagonist's object of undying attention. Now, let's pay attention to his characteristics.
• Plays his choice of sports after school.
• Is very good at his choice of sport.
•Is the coach's favorite.
•Famous at school.
• Can get any girl he wants.
• Has six pack abs.
•Tall.
• Handsome.
•Nice and razor sharp jawline.
•Everyone worships the ground he walks.
•Is a motherfucking jerk- Uhm... Is a jerk. Yeah.
• Sleeps around.
•Drinks like a fish. (Doesn't the liver start screaming or something? I mean mine would give up. I know. But then again, mine is a little weak. Teeheehee. :3)
• Some sort of... Let's say... Damage has happened to him when he was younger.

Now, let's look at the pros and cons of dating this type. (Ya girl playing love guru. :p)
PROS:
• You'll be famous as school.
• You will... Uhm...
Uhm...
Let's move onto the cons without wasting much time!
CONS:
• Large number of side ho- floozies. (lol. Hoes. Santa says what? Hoe hoe hoe. I know I'm hilarious.)
•Large number of people jealous of you.
•Large number of girls who hate you.
•Can't have a nerdy conversation well.
• Least of in house Friday movie night dates because obviously you gotta go with your man to partayyyy.
•Your life will become a spectacle for everyone to gossip about. (Let's be fair. That happens with everyone who's mildly famous...)
• So much more. I can't even count. Phew.
Anyhow. Not that I'm saying that you shouldn't really completely date this type but Uhmm... Why does our sweet, innocent, goody two shoes protagonist falls for this type? I mean, why fall for somewhere where's the most risk?! And oh, they get married! And have kids!
