The week flew by and before I knew it, I was scrambling to find a dress for Bianca's party.
I had no idea what I was going to wear. I kept thinking that I had way more time than I actually did, and Aaron wouldn't admit it, but he was annoyed with me.
Saturday morning we woke up, and while eating breakfast in my kitchen, I realized I had nothing to wear. When I shared this realization with him, he offered to take me to the mall.
Aaron and I shopped for a few hours until he got completely fed up and pulled a dress off the rack forcing me to try it on.
"Try it on so we can go home," he'd said.
"Aaron—"
"Got shit to do, baby."
I tried it on, and it was perfect.
We left the mall and dropped me off at my apartment so I could get my life together a bit. Aaron had last-minute preparations for the party, so he had to dash.
I hung around my apartment and started to get ready at five o'clock. I showered and got my wig ready then did my makeup and put my dress on.
As I put on my thick choker covered in diamonds and walked into my kitchen, as my door opened, and Aaron appeared.
"Damn," he whispered.
I smiled shyly. "You like it?" He was the one who picked it out. Of course, it was out of frustration, but it ended up being the right one.
I took in his appearance too. He had on a black blazer with a navy blue button-up underneath. He pants fit him so well it was a crime. His hair was shiny and freshly styled, and his beard was trimmed.
He looked good enough to eat. Judging by the way he was looking at me, I could tell he felt the same about me.
"Like it?" He shook his head. "You're so freaking sexy." His shoes made a clicking noise as he walked towards me.
"Thank you."
His hands found my waist, and he pressed the evidence of his excitement against my stomach. He groaned in frustration. "I really want you right now."
I wanted him too, but I didn't want him to be late. He had to pick Bianca up and drive her to the hall for her big entrance.
I felt my heart pounding as he dipped his head and kissed my neck. "You don't want to be late," I reminded him.
"I know," he mumbled against my skin. Lifting his head, he let me go. "Give me a little twirl before I go. I wanna see that ass."
I rolled my eyes but twirled around for him anyway. "Now, go. I'll see you at the party."

When I arrived at the party, everyone was having a good time. Everything seemed to be running smoothly. The hall was decorated with silver and white balloons with white detailing. There were bouquets of roses as centerpieces on every table. It was so extravagant, and I was seriously impressed.
Bianca looked happy. She had a bunch of her friends sitting at her table, and her smile never left her face.
Iris and Brielle were seated at a smaller table next to her with their cousins and other family members.
Scanning the room, I saw Deja and Cameron with Aaron's bandmates except for Orion. Jett and Rob were their names, I think. I sat down with them and felt a little bit more at ease. I didn't even know they were coming, but I was so glad they did.
Viviana was running around trying to make everything was perfect, and in the process, she was driving Aaron mad. I could see it on his face, but it was for his little girl, so he sucked it up. I admired him for that.
Aaron finally caught a break when the DJ started playing the latest hits, and everyone hit the dance floor. He plopped down next to me and sighed.
"God, I'd kill to just be in bed with you right now," he muttered in my ear seemingly oblivious to the small audience we had. I squirmed in my seat, squeezing my thighs together to ease the ache between them.
Deja watched us with a huge smile.
I placed my hand on his thigh. "Can you stop?"
He shook his head. "You're the one who put on that damn dress."
"You're the one who picked it out," I shot back.
He winked. "So glad I did."
A few minutes later, the party really got started when the DJ began playing all of Bianca's favorite songs. She got up with her friends and they hit the dance floor.
Aaron watched them with a smile on his face. He loved seeing his baby happy.
Bianca noticed us watching her and ran over to our table.
"Come on! Dance with me!" She yelled over the music. "You too, Uncle Cam."
Everyone at our table got up and hit the dance floor too except for Jett.
Aaron could dance really well. Our bodies moved to the rhythm of the music like we didn't have a care in the world.
Then his body went rigid. Completely and utterly still. His eyes flared with anger as they locked on something in the room. I followed his gaze and didn't see anything or anyone out of the ordinary.
Just a tall white man in a black suit standing by the entrance. I guess that was pretty weird, but he didn't look dangerous.
"Are you okay?" I shouted over the music.
He dipped his head so his mouth was right by my ear. "My father."
It was my turn to freeze.
Aaron never talked about his father, but I knew that he was not his favorite person. He turned really cold and distant when I'd asked him before.
"Do you want to leave?"
He wordlessly grabbed my hand, dragged me off the dance floor and towards the table his mother was sitting at.
"Why the fuck is he here?" He demanded.
She was taken aback by the sharpness of his voice and so was I. I'd never heard him speak like that before. "You do not take that tone to me, young man," she said.
He squeezed my hand to point of pain but I stayed quiet. "Did you invite him?"
"Who?"
Banging his fist on the table, he shouted, "My father!"
A few people turned to look at us, but Aaron wasn't worried about them. He was livid.
His mother's hand flew to her chest as she paled. "I didn't invite him, Aaron. I would never do that you—despite what you may think."
He released my hand and stormed off in the direction of his father. His mother and I ran after him, but he was too quick. He drew his fist back and decked him square in the face.
With the force of his hit, the older man fell to the ground clutching his face.
"Aaron, stop!"
He lifted him off the ground and by the front of his shirt, he slammed him against the wall. "How dare you show your face at my daughter's party."
Jett came out of nowhere and ripped him from his father, but it took both him and Rob just to hold him back. "Calm down."
"Bastard," the man muttered spitting out some blood.
I couldn't believe this was happening at his daughter's sweet sixteen. He couldn't believe it either. He shoved Jett to the side and stormed out the building. Shortly after that, the music stopped playing, and Viviana politely asked everyone to leave.
Bianca was close to tears. Brielle clutched her mother's hand in fear.
It was a nightmare. A disaster.
