"save it, daniel. we're done. so please, just don't ever talk to me again."

tears were streaming down her face. and she walked out. i stared at the white wall, where she was standing less than two minutes ago.

i understood that i had lost her again. i lost madison again. no, i couldn't let her go again. we weren't going to be separated again. i needed to fix my mistake.

i opened the door and my eyes searched up for my girlfriend, if she even still was my girlfriend since she just had broken up me.

"hey, how's the birthday party going?" jonah asked me, as he stopped besides me.
"not really great." i answered. "look, i need to go do something. i don't know how much time it will take so just... stay here and keep people busy." i told him and my best friend arched his eyebrow.
"where are you going?" he asked but i was already gone.

i didn't had the time for question. i'll have all the time in the world to answer them when i'll have madison back.

i finally saw her, running through the crowd. it was hard for me to catch her up. people were constantly stopping me to tell me happy birthday.

madison bumped onto jack and i thought it was my chance. jack looked at me for a few seconds before looking back to madison and taking her hand. they both walked out and my heart ached. they were both against me.

i took my jacket on the coat hanger and ran to my car. i could still catch them if drive a little bit faster. i pushed on the accelerator and continued to follow but they were going really fast.

shit. red light. i sighed as i watched them drive away. they were way too far. it was done. i couldn't catch them. but i needed to. i needed to get madison back.

i don't know if it was the adrenaline or the fact that i was a little bit drunk, but there was something inside me that told me to push on the accelerator once again and drive faster. i didn't care about the red lights, any of them, i just wanted madison and i was going to get her.

i started to see jack's car again and i smiled. there wasn't any police car behind me and i was alive. i was so close and this last red light wasn't going to stop me.

but i didn't do what i had done the last times, i didn't look both ways before going through that red light.

i didn't look to see if there was any pedestrians walking or if there was any car coming the other way.

no, i went straight through the red light. then, i saw a light. it was coming from my right.

i didn't even had the time to yell, turn, do anything. the gigantic truck had already ran into my car. i felt pain in my body and then everything went black. nothing. pure darkness.
