"How are the nightmares?"

Shifting in his chair Daniel looks at the psychologist. Notepad resting on her knee. Pen in hand.

This already feels like the longest hour of his life and it hasn't even started yet.

"Fine."

"Does that mean you still have them?"

"No. Not anymore."

She smiles.

"Your parents tell me something different."

Shifting some more Daniel swallows. He doesn't like this woman. He doesn't like the way she makes him feel.

"Well, I'm fine."

He watches her scribble something on the notepad. "How has your mood been?" she asks looking up at him again. Sighing Daniel scratches his head. Feeling the grease on his scalp he quickly lowers his hand.

"Fine," he mutters, aware he needs to come up with better answers.

"You don't like coming here, do you?"

This throws him a bit. Shrugging his shoulders he looks around the room, trying to hide fact his heart is attempting to slam its way through his ribcage. "It's fine."

Daniel forces himself to look at her. Meeting eyes he fears see straight through him. Straight into the part he doesn't want her to see.

Her lips curl into another small smile.

Again she scribbles something down.
