recapppp: Tobias proposed to Tris! (finally)

TOBIAS POV

I finish asking Tris to marry me. I hope she says yes, I want to protect her from anyone hurting her. It's been a full minute and she hasn't said anything. I begin to worry.  She looks at me with tears in her eyes. oh no, that can't be good.  "Tobias..." she says, tears threatening to spill over.  "OF COURSE! I WOULD LOVE TO MARRY YOU!" she screams,  jumping into my arms. I smile, completely ecstatic. 

We look at the clock and see that it's 10 am. "Tris, we should probably go gwt breakfast," I say calmly. She smiles and gets up. I close my eyes and rest for one more ninute before standing up. I already hear the running water signalling Tris is in the shower.

While I'm resting my eyes I remeber something. With all my excitement about Tris saying yes, I completely forgot about what happened to her. I can't believe what happened. Poor Tris had to endure what I endured my whole entire life, I would have given anything for it to be me who had that beating instead of her.

I hear the shower stop and stand up to get dressed. I wear what I wear pretty much every day.  A plain black t-shirt and jeans. I wait for Tris for about 10 more minutes. When she comes out of the bathroom I smile. She's wearing leggings and one of my old Abnegation shirts. I thought I hid that.

She see's me staring and smirks. "See something you like?" she says, walking by me. "Yeah, something like that." I mutter as she walks by. She laughs. "Where did you even find that shirt?" I ask, completely puzzled. " I found it last night, before u went to bed while I was looking for something to wear to sleep," she says, smiling.

We walk out the door to the pit to grab some food and talk along the way. I'm mentally preparing myself for Christina's reaction when she finds out Tris and I are engaged.

We get to the pit and sit down with our friends. I get up to go grab us some food and as I'm grabbing 2 muffins I hear "OH MY GOD TRIS IS THAT AN ENGAGEMENT RING?!?!?!?!". Cristina.  I hear Tris's quiet voice but I can't make out what she's saying. I chuckle, Tris has some insane friends.

I walk over to our table and give Tris her food. Right after I sit Christina immediately starts to talk. "WHEN, WHERE, HOW?" she screams. We explain the whole thing to her and the rest of our friends. I can't help but notice that Tris looks happy, and I smile at her. She glances at the door and her expression changed.

I follow Tris gaze to the door to see what changed her mood. That's when I see them walk in....
