"you are hired"
"sir"? Ewa asked confusion lacing her voice.
"Miss bello are you deaf or hard-of-hearing".
"No sir, i mean i heard you the first time i just don't understand the fact that i got the job so quick".
The eccentric man gave Ewa a once over before turning his attention back to whatever he was doing on his pc.
"you didn't even do the interview" Ewa spluttered.
"look miss bello its okay if you don't want the job, you can as well walk out and kiss the job goodbye, no one is holding you here against your will.
"i'm sorry, its just that i-
"Miss bello do you want it or not"
"i do sir bu-
"good because your work starts now"
"i didn't even-
"start with keeping shut while i do the talking"
Ewa nodded her head in affirmation
"good, second of all i won't tolerate unnecessary complaints and third you are coming with me to lekki"
"to do what sir"?
He licked his lower lip and shot Ewa a blank look.
"i'm sorry sir"
"No questions Miss bello"
"sorry sir" Ewa muttered
"good, now pack up these files and meet me in the car downstairs".
Ewa stood and watched as the man picked up his keys and a white object she couldn't exactly tell what it was, she moved out of the way when he approached the door.
"3 minutes Miss bello" he said rather calmly as he walked out the door.
She stared at the black shiny table with papers scattered all over but for some reason still looked attractive , a cup of untouched coffee stood there in the midst of the papers and a gold name plaque stood in front, she hadn't noticed it when she walked instead she was bothered by the fact that by some twist of fate she had met the man she spoke rudely to at the hallway.
kelvin Akilapa filani so that was his full name.
She hurried over to the table placing her bag on the swivel chair as she arranged the papers into the green office files, she put one on top of each other and placed it under her armpit as she grabbed her handbag.
She fumbled with doorknob but soon caught sight of a little red scribble on the door that read "push".
As soon as she was out, it was as if she was thrown in a maze and asked to find her way out.It was easier to find her way when she came because the workers had not yet resumed but now the place was like a hive of bees.
Every single person in the building was rocking a suit, the men complimented theirs with black brogues while the ladies wore theirs with black heels of different style and platforms. She managed to descend the siller staircase that left her feeling dizzy.
And just when she thought it was over another staircase came into view..She had gotten to the 12th flight of stairs when she thought of how easier and faster she had gotten to the waiting room why was it so hard now?.
The elevator airhead.
At least she was past the stairs.
She gave the receptionist and acknowledging nod as she walked towards the exit.
