The day I met you
You were singing a song
A melody that I once did not know
It is all too familiar now
Your charm was infectious
I was allured by you
Convivial
Gorgeous
Breathtaking
Life changing
All of that was you
You brought out the best in me
Everything that felt right was from you
For once I had tapped into love
Tasted it
Savored it
That raw, visceral feeling
I found it
I thought I would share it
With only you
But you had another under your spell
I did not compare
Thats what it felt like
I've watched you nurture
I've watched you create
In a reality that I wish were my own
I just hope that their love means the world to you
Mine never stopped
It meant the world to me
The day I met you
You were singing a song
I should have never listened
