Ch. 13. Lunch With Abs

I walk in to the bathroom holding my throbbing hand. "Damn this hurts! Why did I even hit the locker?" I walk over to the sink and run cold water over my knuckles. My phone starts buzzing. "Not now! I'm in pain!"

The bathroom door slams open and guess who walks in. Nope! It's Mrs. Giggles from the boy's bathroom. She stands behind me hands on her hips and a mean look on her clown painted face.

I hate it when people stare. "You got something to say Mrs. Gig... Brook, or are you just gonna stand there?" I threw over my shoulder.

She rolls her eyes and points a finger at me. "If you think your gonna take Lance away from me you got it all wrong!" She stomps her foot to make a point. Ugh spoiled rich chick. "Lance is mine, so stay away from him!"

My phone starts buzzing again. Ugh!!! I've had about enough and it's not even time for homeroom. I let her have it, "First thing Mrs. Giggles, Lance is not yours." I turn the water off and look at her in the mirror. "Second thing I'm having a really bad day! My hand hurts, my phone won't stop buzzing, and you think you can order me around! ME! REALLY!" I turn around fast and stomp right up to her. "I really don't give a damn who Lance is with or what ever. He was being nice and that's it clown face!"

She gasped and took a step back. I thought her eyes would pop out of her head at any minute. Haley isn't here to save me, but I'm sure she will be soon.

"Next thing and last thing Mrs. Giggles I think you look like an over painted clown who works at a rodeo." My phone buzzes again. "This damn phone!!!!" I pull out my phone and see one missed call from mom, two texts from Haley and one missed call from William.

"Shit!!"

I turn to leave the bathroom forgetting I was in the middle of cussing Brook out. Phone in hand I walk to the bathroom door, it's being held open by Lilly and Haley who are both smiling.

Lilly looked at Brook with her smile. "That's what you get honey, see ya!!"

Haley laughs and grabs my arm. "That's my girl!" She pulls me into the hallway with Lilly skipping behind us. "Did you get my texts! OMG! Teresa and Jack are flying in tonight!"

My face paled. "My mom is coming home! TONIGHT!!" Before I could even react William walks in to my view. Oh NO, here we go.

Lilly giggles and waves at him. A smile plays on his lips. Can they just hook up and be done with it already my life is falling apart and abs is sporting a bruised up face, because of me!!! "Damn....damn...double damn!"

Haley Pat's my shoulder, "Take a deep breath, everything will be okay."

"Answer your phone when I call. Dad is on his way home and wants us there to greet him at 4pm." William said as he pushed his glasses up his nose. He turned to Lilly, "I had your car brought to the school. I hope you don't mind." William walked away quickly before any of us could respond.

Haley laughed. "Could this day get any better! I mean dang Lilly you got your honey, Jess has one now and mine just told me he's gonna FaceTime me tonight! Oh, and not to mention Mrs. Teresa is coming! You gotta get her to make her special cheese cake!!"

Lilly and I look at each other. I roll my eyes and Lilly is practically bubbling over with joy. Haley is having a fit of laughs and I just want to go home and die!! The bell for homeroom rang loud in the halls, saved by the bell, I hope anyway.

So I'm sitting at my desk and the lunch bell just rang. Instead of jumping up with Lilly, my head lowers to my desk, and a let out a long sigh. "Kill me please Lilly!"
