The ride from the airport was short. Maybe a maximum of thirty minutes. The driver didn't seem to care that I blasted rock music all the way home. Oh, look I called it home! How cute, mental eye roll. Yeah, I'm a little mean because my life is upside down right now. I want sleep, food, and more sleep, in that order. Hopefully behind a locked door in the dark.
The limo ride was cool and all, but the way my mother and her new husband Jack just left. I mean couldn't they take a little time to take me home? I guess they just couldn't wait for the honeymoon. The house was more like a castle, with the gates that opened in the driveway, and the large green lawn. The castle it's self was gigantic. It kinda scared me. I mean, like it doesn't seem real that I'll be living here. This is like that princess diary crap. Ugh! Just what I need, dam rich, spoiled brothers. I can't wait.
As soon as the limo came to a stop, a tall blond guy opened the door and offered his hand to me. I accepted it, and mumbled a thank you. I tossed my bag over my shoulder, and started up the steps to the large front doors. Here it is, a giant door leading to my new life. Five spoiled brothers, and what looks like a parent free world. I started to wonder what kinda of high school I'd be going to. If money talked it was probably some private rich kid school. The kind you only see on anime shows. I just hope my room door has a lock on it.
When the door swung open, I stepped inside, only four young men stood in the large entry way. The blond who was silently following me, since I got out of the limo, joined them making five. He was the first to speak.
My eyes traveled over the group. The one with glasses gave me a hard stare.
"Welcome home sister." His white tux looked clean, and his appearance had me putting him in the Prince category. The blond hair styled just right made him look royal.
"I'm Jordan the oldest." The blond one said. Pointing to a tall dark-haired boy with glasses next, "That's William the second in line, and those two with the matching red hair is Tyler and James." Jordan then turned to a mini blond-haired boy, "That little devil is Tommy."
I nodded to them all, and opened my mouth to say my name, but Tommy cut me off.
"Your Jessica aren't you? Your kinda small to be so old. I'm ten years old." He grinned at me.
I rolled my eyes yep spoiled rich kid brothers. A prince type, a cool type, twins, and a cute little want to be bad boy. Great now I have a comic anime show in my head about my life. Only my handsome step brothers are the stars. Damn did my brain just call them handsome! Anyway only one is missing, the strong, quiet, bad boy type.
I laugh to myself, yeah I'm going crazy. I'm way to shy for this much attention. I need to hide, and fast.
"It's nice to meet you all. I think I want to rest a bit, Jet lag is getting to me and I want to get settled in." I said, balancing my bag on my shoulder.
Jordan looked like he could bite nails when, William stepped up to show me to my room. Of course all of them followed me to my door. It was awkward to see them just standing there staring at me. I went into my room quickly shutting the door. I smiled when I felt the lock under my fingers. I slid to the floor as soon as the lock clicked into place. Yes. Finally locked in my room away from people. I hate people.
Feelings, and talking, and all that made me nervous. I don't like being stared at, or talked to so I hide. I stay invisible as much as possible at home, and at school. I'm glad I have plain brown hair and a sorta flat body style. I'm into books, games, and music why do I need to leave my room. I do need a TV at some point. I can't watch anime on my phone all the time. Everything I need is here, well everything but food. I can work on that. No. I will work on that.
I look around and see my own private bathroom on one side, and a big walk in closet beside it. A love seat fit perfectly under my window. The bed sat right smack in the middle facing a plain wall. That didn't make sense. I shook my head. It's like a big, sweet dream come true type of room, only there is too much pink. I like black and dark colors. Dark reds, blues, greens anything dark. I'll have to ask if I can redecorate soon, and if I can get a TV.
Knock....knock...."Hey sis you ok? If you need anything I'm right down the hall last door on the left."
Who? Huh? Oh, yeah my new brothers. I frowned, maybe they wont be so bad.
"Thanks. I'm fine right now." I answered. Was that Jordan, William, or one of the twins? Tommy isn't old enough for that deep voice. I kinda think William wouldn't yell through a door, and the twins would possibly stick together. So it had to be Jordan, always the helpful sweet Prince. God, I watch to many anime, I'm seeing the Host Club play out before my eyes, only thing or person missing is the tall strong guy. My luck that one will be a friend, and show up pretty soon. Let's just hope I'm not the female star of this reverse harem situation. I laughed to myself. I'm not a bookworm, but I'm close to it. I am however a little bit of fan girl! I chuckled out loud this time.
I stood up, and slowly walked over to the humongous bed, and throw myself on it. The silk sheets felt nice and cool. The pink had to go though. Soon after I get comfortable my eyes drift shut, and darkness surrounds me. Beautiful, wonderful, darkness of sleep, where dreams are nonexistent kind of sleep. I'm in love with this wonderful bed, and the deep dreamless sleep that takes me away from the rest of the day.
I never heard the door being unlocked, or my bags brought in. I slept deeply, while the maids silently unpacked my things. The twins watched from the door. My bag lay on the floor by the doorway. It lost its appeal when the maids silently left, leaving the door open.
