I sat in my room, just staring at the door after, I applied some make-up around my eyes. Not much, just enough to piss my mom off. I really didn't care if I was ugly or not. She better start watching her step though because one-day I'm gonna snap. It took a lot of reassuring the twins, just so I could get to my room.
My door crept open, as Tommy stuck his cute little face in. "You okay sis?" He whispered. "I'm supposed to tell you they are ready to eat."
I smiled at Tommy, and ignored my buzzing phone that still lay by my pillow. "Okay, but you gotta hold my hand or I won't go."
Tommy beamed up at me, and held out his hand. "I won't let go! I promise!" He said before guiding me down the hall. "You're prettier than your mom." He said randomly.
I smiled and felt my heart melt. Is this what little brothers are for? Is it possible I love my little runt of a step-brother. Yes, yes it is. I mean how could you not love his sweet innocent comments, and his cute adorable face. I finally have a family member that I love.
"Awe, squirt that so sweet." He flashed me a big grin, and we walk into the dinning room.
Jack sat at the head of the table. My mom was at the opposite end. Jordan and William sat on ether side of Jack. The twins sat on one side of mom, and Tommy pulled me with him to sit across from them. Tommy sat between my mother and I.
Just as we all got settled the front door slammed open and screaming filled the halls. Haley walked in giving me a death glare. Her eyes were red and puffy. Jordan looked worried, but said nothing as she stormed over to me.
"Haley?" I stammered.
She said nothing as she grabbed my arm and literally pulled me out of the room. Then she stopped and looked at me holding her phone up to my face.
"Why can't you text back or answer! I have tried to reach you for forever!" She yelled, and sobbed at the same time. "Jayson... he.. he..!" She started crying and sobbing as she fell in my arms.
I just stood there my mouth hanging open. Shit... I'm gonna kill the bastard!! No body hurts my Best friend and gets away with it. The douche! "What did Jayson do exactly?" I asked, as I hugged her and rubbed her back.
She hiccupped, shook her head, and with a shaking voice said, "Oh.. NO! You don't get to ask that, because if you would have had your PHONE!!!!" She yelled phone with excess anger. "You would have known, I'll be staying with you tonight, but I hate you right now so don't talk to me!"
I watched her storm down the hall. She'll be asleep by the time dinner is over, or so mad that my room will be painted black. Ether way she will forgive me once she calms down. Dam... Today has been the worst day of my entire life! I just want to curl up in a hole somewhere in the woods, and I haven't even eaten dinner yet! Yeah, today is just, blah!
"NO! I WILL NOT TOLERATE IT! IT'S ALL A'S OR YOUR DONE!" Jack yelled furiously.
What is going on now! I turn back to the dining room to see Jordan storming out with a pissed off look. Great dinner will defiantly not sit well tonight. I'll get something later from the kitchen.
I walk in and see everyone staring at me, as I take a seat by Tommy. He looks up and whispers, "Dad is mad at Jordan he got a low mark."
My heart dropped when Jack turned to William. "If he can't get his act together, I'm making you my heir, adopted or not!"
I gasped. What William is, adopted! That explains his hair color...wait what! Jordan lose his birthright over a low mark at school! That's not right. It's so not cool. Jack is an ass, and no wonder he married my mother! Our parents are idiots!
I slammed my hand down on the tabled and all eyes swung back to me. "I don't feel well, I'll be in my room!" My chair fell over as I jumped up and walked out.
The twins never said anything just texted away the whole time. Tommy was looking down at his hands trying to be a good boy, and mother never looked up from her pocket mirror. Yeah, a great day!
I heard my mother say, "Ungrateful children." as I left.
My room door was open and I could hear Haley's voice, as I got closer. Jordan mumbled something, and she sobbed again. I inched closer trying to hear what was being said. I knew Jordan had a soft side, but Haley. I've never seen Haley cry in front of a guy.
"It's ok, Tenshi. I'm here and I'll always listen. I'm not, as bad as everyone says. I promise." Jordan said quietly.
Haley didn't reply, but her sobs stopped. That was my cue to walk in. I did, and I was speechless. Haley was sitting in his lap with her face buried in his chest, while he stroked her strawberry brown hair. He looked up at me like he was gonna cry at any minute. What the hell, we can all cry together, but first I gotta get my phone.
I shut my door and walked over to my phone, which lay on the floor by the bathroom door now. Haley must have thrown it. I look at the text messages and my eyes watered.
4:30pm
Haley❤: I need you pick up!4:36pm
Haley❤: Answer me damn it!!4:45pm
Haley❤: Ava from Jayson's school sent me a video of them.5:00pm
Haley❤: I hate you!! I'm coming over!5:20pm
Haley❤: I'm here....Wow, I should have answered my phone. Talk about bad days. This one just got horrible! I walked over to Haley and Jordan, and wrapped my arms around them both. Haley and I cried while Jordan just sat there with two blubbering girls in his lap. If it wasn't so sad it would have looked pretty funny.
Tyler, James, and Tommy all busted in through the door making us all jump. Jordan couldn't move, I jumped up and sat beside Jordan who held Haley on his lap. James kinda flashed a frown at them, before smiling and waving his phone in the air.
He was about to say something when Tommy cut him off. "You can stop crying now dad and her left! We are throwing a pool party!"
I rubbed my eyes. "We have a pool?"
