Sander walked down the stairs and into the living room to go and watch TV. Tiffany sat again at the top of the stairs and unlocked her phone. She scrolls through her social feed and listens as Sander turns on the TV and the sound of cartoons fill the house. She waits about 10 minutes on the stairs when her behind goes numb from sitting on a hard surface for, so long. Tiffany stands up, stretches, and goes downstairs to check on Sander who is basically hypnotized by the characters and colors on the screen. Tiffany checks her phone once more for the time.

9:45AM

"I thought time would fly by faster honestly," Tiffany said to herself in the doorway of the living room. "What time is it?" Sander asked breaking his gaze from the TV. "It's only 9:45" Tiffany replied.

"Really?! Kimberly sure is late today!" Sander said surprised. Kimberly is the hired maid of the household and it wasn't like her to be late any day. Tiffany smiled, "I told her she could have the weekend off. Figured I could just cook and clean up after you." Sander was confused, only Mama and Papa could give or take Kim's hours. It was unusual for Tiffany to call her off, but Sander smiled back at Tiffany just happy he could spend the weekend with her.

He returned his gaze back to the TV where he was sucked back into the make-believe world. "Guess that means it's time for me to start on cooking," Tiffany said under her breath and retreated to the kitchen.

Sander sat on the couch with his eyes glued to the TV screen just letting the time pass. He soon became bored with the TV and smelled something cooking. Sander scoots off the couch and follows his nose into the kitchen where he sees Tiffany over the stove stirring something.

"What are you making?" Sander asked tilting his head to the side.

"Lunch" Tiffany replied.

"Well duh, but what's for lunch?" Sander asked a bit annoyed.

"Tomato soup and grilled cheese." Tiffany answered.

"Oooh, yummy. Can I help?" Sander asked with full puppy dog eyes.

"There's really not much you can help with honestly..." Tiffany trailed off.

"Pleeeeaaasssseeee?" Sander whined.

Tiffany smiled, "Okay, do you think you could grab me some napkins from the basement?"
