"Hey there stranger," Tiffany jokingly said when the door was opened even though the statement was a bit true due to the fact they've never met.
"Hi! You must Tiffany. I've heard many stories, I'm Stephanie by the way," Toby's mother said extending her arm for a hand shake.
"Indeed I am. Hell, they should pay you a bit for watching him since he's such a trouble maker," Tiffany teased Sander while poking him.
"HEY! AM NOT!" Sander yelled playfully and giggled. Stephanie cringed a bit at her sentence leaving Tiffany with a confused look.
"Are you sure it's a good idea to speak like that around him?" Stephanie said a bit quieter. Tiffany hadn't even realized she let out the H E double hockey sticks and wonders if she's ever slipped up before.
"My apologies, I must've slipped. At least it's a place and not an insult," Tiffany laughed off her mess up. Stephanie pulled out a fake laugh for a response and looked down at Sander, "All packed up? Sander nodded and looked behind her at the van, completely ignoring the awkward conversation between the two.
"Toby is in the back, go ahead and join him." Stephanie said patting Sander's head.
"Okay! Bye bye Tiffany!" Sander exclaimed, hugging Tiffany before running to the van. Tiffany hugged him quickly and yelled after him, "I'll see you tonight buddy!" Stephanie looked Tiffany up and down, almost scanning the girl. Tiffany was wearing her hair down today, slightly messy from taking out her pony tail from when she was cooking. Her makeup was already done for the day, natural tones on her eyelids with a bit of pink. Black eyeliner shaped into a small wing and no lip stick. Her shirt covered by a pastel pink hoodie with a kitten in the middle, made with obvious thin fabric. On her legs she wore tan skinny jeans and for her shoes, as always, black converse.
Tiffany could feel the woman judge her every detail and broke the mother's stare by saying, "I hope you all have fun! Make sure to call me when you guys are on your way back." Tiffany closed her eyes and smiled at the mother in the doorway to punctuate their conversation. Stephanie reverted back to her fake laugh and just said, "Interesting meeting you and don't worry I will." The mother turned around and walked faster than usual to her van. Tiffany heard the woman walk away and opened her eyes again watching her get into the van. Tiffany waved as they drove off, still smiling until the van was out of sight. Her smiled then faded and she closed the door. She rolled her eyes out of annoyance and pulled out a piece of bubble gum and started to chew it obnoxiously since she was alone. Her phone vibrated and she took it out her pocket while walking toward the study. She smiled at the message on the screen which read, "Our part is all done for now, mind if I check on how yours is going?"
