Chapter 54

*a few months later*

Aria's POV

It's been a few months since Emilio and I have been just friends. I'll have to admit, it's been hard. At times all I wanna do is hug and kiss him, I mean I guess it is my fault. I was the one who said we should just go back to being friends.

I was up in my room, laying on my bed, drawing with the radio. I continued drawing for about 10 minutes until I heard a song on the radio. Jessie J Flashlight (up top).

I didn't realise that I had tears falling down my cheek, until I felt them near my mouth. This song reminded me so much of Emilio, he'd always be there for me and I'd feel safer whenever I was around him. He was my flashlight whenever times were dark, like the thing with Heather. He was there to take care of me.

I really do miss him.

I sat on my bed, listening to the song and just thinking for a few minutes. This song relates so much to me.

I sighed and got off my bed, walked downstairs and saw Sean in the living room on his phone.

Sean:Hey, you okay?
Aria:No, I need some advice
Sean:Sure. With what?

I sat down next to Sean and he put his phone down.

Aria:Okay, well. You know how Emilio and I agreed to be just friends?
Sean:Yea?
Aria:Well, recently I've been missing him and Flashlight just came on the radio and it reminded me of him. What do I do?

Sean just looked at me.

Sean:Ask yourself this question. Do you still love him?

I was a little shocked by Sean's response. I thought to myself for a minute.

Aria:Yeah. I guess I do
Sean:Then go tell him dufas instead of staying here moping around. You're bringing down my vibe.

I just shook my head and put on my converse.

Aria:Thank you Sean

I went and hugged him from behind the couch.

Sean:Yeah, yeah. Now go
Aria:Okay

I smiled and opened the front door. I decided to take an uber to Ivan and Emilio's house.

Around 5 minutes later, I arrived outside their house. I paid the driver and walked to the front door.

I knocked a few times and waited. A little while later Ruben opened the door and smiled.

Ruben:Hey Aria
Aria:Hi Ruben, is Emilio in?
Ruben:Yeah, he's in his room

Ruben then moved out the way allowing me to get in the house.

Aria:Thank you

He smiled at me as I walked upstairs. I got to Emilio's room and quietly knocked on his door.

Emilio:Come in

I slowly opened the door, walked inside and shut the door.

Emilio:Aria?
Aria:Hi
Emilio:What's up?
Aria:I came to tell you something
Emilio:Sure

I sat down next to him on his bed and looked at him.

Emilio:Aria, you're kinda scaring me
Aria:I just don't know how to begin
Emilio:Take your time
Aria:Well, to get to the point. I still love you Emilio

He just sat there shocked, I knew I shouldn't have said anything.

Aria: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that, I better go

I stood up and walked out his room. I saw Ivan and Ruben in the living room playing FIFA.

Aria:I'm going now
Ivan:Okay
Ruben:Did you talk to Emilio
Aria:Urm, yea

I opened the front door and walked out onto the porch.

I stood out there for a few minutes until I heard the door opened and close again. I knew who it was.

Emilio:Aria?
Aria: I'm going
Emilio:No, please stay
Aria:I feel totally embarrassed, why would I stay?

He walked closer to me and grabbed my hands.

Emilio:Because I still love you too

I just stared at him in complete shock.

Aria:Well why didn't you tell me when I was upstairs?
Emilio:Because I was shocked, I was speechless for a few seconds. And by the time I could call your name you were already out the door

I was looking up at Emilio, he was looking down at me and I smiled at him.

He pulled me into a hug.

Emilio:I will always love you Aria and I'm so sorry that I didn't believe you
Aria: It's okay Emi, and I will always love you too

We slightly pulled away from the hug and Emilio put his finger under my chin. He slowly lifted my head up and kissed me ever so gently.

Best choice ever. I need to remind myself to thank Sean when I get home.
