{Castiel's POV}

   "Hi." He said after I sat down.

   "Um, hello." I said, barely looking at him. I didn't want to look in his eyes and get lost in them.

   "So, you're new here too." He said not paying attention to the teacher.

   "Uh, yeah." I said deciding to look at him. I smiled.

   He was cute. His green eyes, his light brown hair, his freckles. I started to feel my cheeks heat up as I thought of how attractive he was.

   "I'm Dean. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand.

   I shook it, "I'm Castiel. Nice to meet you too."

   "So, what class do you have next?" He asked.

   I took out my schedule and handed it to him. He compared both of our schedules.

   "It looks like we have 1st, 2nd, and 6th period together." He smiled and handed me the schedule back.

   I nodded and smiled back.

   I like Dean, even though we barely know each other. I hope we can become friends, maybe even... No, obviously Dean is straight. He just gives off a heterosexual vibe.

{Dean's POV}

   I don't know why, but this guy is making my heart beat faster and get butterflies in my stomach. Well, that was a chick flick moment. I'm not gay, right? I mean, I never found another guy attractive, but for some reason, I'm finding Cas attractive.

   "Maybe we can find our 2nd period class together." He suggested with a small smile.

   "Sure." I said. We can spend more time together. "So, where did you move from?"

   "Florida. I moved here with my sister, 2 brothers, and dad. What about you?"

   "Well, my dad, brother, and I move a lot. We just moved from South Dakota. I'm originally from Kansas."

   "Oh wow, that's nice.'

   I smiled at him and we sat in silence for the rest of the class period. When the bell rang, I got up and waited for Cas to collect his stuff. I followed him out of the classroom.

   "I have a map of the school so we can find out where we're going." He said as he pulled a map from his binder.

   "Oh, well aren't you prepared." I chuckled and looked at the map.

   "I decided it w-" He got cut off when a guy pushed Cas and he fell to the floor. I looked at who pushed him and saw a couple of jocks laughing as they walked away.

{Castiel's POV}

   I was kind of giddy when Dean walked with me to our next class. I didn't have friends at my old school, so I hope I can become Dean's friend.

   "I have a map of the school so we can find out where we're going." I hope that didn't come out like I was a nerd. I pulled the map from my binder.

   "Oh, well aren't you prepared." He chuckled. I did sound like a nerd.

   "I decided it w-" I started until I was pushed and knocked down. I put my hands out to catch myself before I face planted. My books scattered and I heard people start laughing. Great, I was starting to get picked on this early.

   "Cas, are you okay?" I heard Dean say.

   I smiled at the new nickname. I looked up at him, "Yeah, I'm fine." I could feel my cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

   He reached a hand out for me to take. I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up in one quick motion. He grabbed the things that fell on the floor and handed it to me.

   "Thanks Dean." I said brushing myself off.

   "Are you sure you're okay?" He asked again.

   "Yeah, I'm fine. I promise." I smiled at him.

   "People can be such dicks." He shook his head.

   "Yeah, I know." I said looking at my feet. I was picked on a lot at my other school, so I know how mean people can be. I didn't tell Dean this because he probably already thought I was a nerd.

   We finally found our class and we were one of the first ones there.

   "Come on." He said as he walked to the back of the class. He sat down and I took the seat next to him.

   I smiled when he told me to sit with him. I frowned when I thought about not being able to see him until 6th period.

Lunchtime
{Castiel's POV}

   I went out side with my lunch and looked around. I saw Anna at a table with other people. I smiled as she waved at me. At least she was having a great first day. I saw a bench under a tree that was empty, so I decided to sit there. I put my lunch down beside me and took a book out from my backpack.

   "Can I sit with you?" I jumped at the deep voice. I looked up and saw Dean.

   I smiled, "Of course." I moved my backpack to the ground and he sat down.

   "So, how has your first day been?" He asked then took a bite of his sandwich.

   "Um, okay I guess. How has your day been?" I smiled.

   "Same. I'm debating whether to try out for football or not." He shrugged his shoulders.

   "You should try out. Are you any good?" I asked. What if he makes it, and ends up a jock and doesn't want to hang out with me? I push the thought out of my mind.

   "I guess I'm pretty good. Maybe I will try out." He smiled at me.

{Dean's POV}

   I was really great at football. It was the one thing I was good at. Maybe I'll try out.

   "I guess I'm pretty good. Maybe I will try out." I smiled.

   I felt myself staring at him. I just find him attractive, which is weird for me. My eyes went to his lips, then back up to his eyes. I barely know this guy. The bell rang , pulling me out of my thoughts.

   "Well, I guess we should be getting to class." He said throwing his backpack over his shoulder.

   "Yeah." I muttered. I wanted to spend more time with him, get to know him better. He starting walking away, "Hey Cas, I was thinking, maybe if you want to, after tryouts, we can go grab a bite to eat." I rubbed the back of my neck.

   He turned towards me and smiled, "That sounds nice. I'd like that." He smiled, "See you later Dean." He walked away.

   Is it weird that I hope he thinks this is a date? I shook my head. I walked to my next class with a smile on my face.

   Once I got there, I took a seat in the back of the class. A red head sat in front of me and looked at me.

   "I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new?" She asked.

   "Uh, yeah. I just stared today." I replied.

   "Oh cool. I'm Charlie by the way." She said holding out her hand.

   "I'm Dean." I said shaking her hand.

   "Nice to meet you, Dean." She said as a guy sat next to her. "Dean, this is Benny."

   Benny nodded at me, "Hiya Dean."

   "Nice to meet you, Benny." I smiled.
