I wrote a oneshot ages ago called 'cancer' so I decided to write part two! Enjoy? Also I don't know how cancer works so this is most likely inaccurate. Sorry!

Eddie sat in the waiting room, his small legs shaking in anticipation. Richie was being checked on in a room near Eddie.

Richie had had cancer for four years. He lost his curly brown hair, and even his goofy personality. He just wanted to be normal, to be able to be with his husband in peace, without death lurking over his shoulder 24/7. Eddie understood Richie's pain, and how sometimes they just needed to cry together. They were both very strong, but they both hoped that this was the end of cancers ass.

"Mr. Kaspbrak?" A doctor called through an open door. Eddie got up from the uncomfortable seat he was previously sat in and walked into the room he was called into. He sat down next to Richie, taking his hand instantly.
"I have good news and bad news.." the doctor, Mr. Hanscom, addressed. Eddie nodded in response, a knot tied in his throat.

Be okay, be okay, be okay.

"What do you want first?  Good or bad?" Hanscom asked kindly.
"Good, please." Eddie politely replied, the grip on Richie's hand becoming tighter.

"Richie's cancer has gone, but there is a small chance that it could come back in the future."

Eddie choked on the air around him.

He's okay.

Eddie let the tears trapped in his eyes roll down his cheeks as his arms wrapped around Richie's waist. Richie wrapped his lanky arms around Eddie's neck, tears also pooling down his pale cheeks.

We're okay.

(Richie lost weight because of the cancer btw)

Eddie carried Richie into their house, their dog meeting them at the door. Richie got down from Eddie's arms, his hand interwinding with Eddie's. The small family sat down on their couch, their retriever dog, Millie, hopping up onto the couch with them. Eddie and Richie snuggled up next to each other, death finally giving them peace.

I'm proud of this idc why it just makes me feel happy that reddie can live on lmao.

Should I write short oneshots and update 3-4 times a week or write longer oneshots and update 1-2 a week?
