WARNING! SUICIDE!

Eddie stood on his balcony, the autumnal breeze blowing though his untamed brown hair. He rolled around on the heel of his foot as he stared down at the rushing traffic below his feet. One foot rose and dangled over the edge of the balcony; Eddie pondering whether his decision is the right one to make. He shook his head, the thoughts of regretting his decision pooling out of his brain. Eddie closed his eyes, his body falling forward and into the rushing cars.

And that was the end of Edward Kaspbrak.

Richard Tozier stared at the card in his hand. Bright lettering spelled out the words 'happy birthday', yet the contents of the card was dark and depressing.

'Dearest Richie,

I'm sorry, but I couldn't bare the pain anymore. I took my own life, yes, I left you. But I couldn't live another second without wanting someone to run behind me and stab my cold, unwanted heart. I hope you have a wonderful birthday. I love you Richie, and I promise that every second of my life was treasured. I hope you find another significant other you can marry and love just as much as you loved me.

Love, Eddie Kaspbrak.'

The present Eddie left led Richie to a simple conclusion. He needed to be with Eddie. Eddie left a simple present, but it bought many tears to Richie's eyes.

An engagement ring.

The ring Eddie was going to use to propose to Richie before he ended his own life. Richie held the silver ring in his hands as he walked to the same place Eddie did, and jumped to his death.
