(Peter POV)

"What are you thinking about?"

I ask the beautiful man leaning against the balcony railing on the second floor of the Grayson Mansion.

His blonde hair was perfectly disheveled from the wind and the rising sun along the coastal island waters in the short distance off the cliff gave the perfect orange aurora to his complexion.

His rosy cheeks and tired sea-green eyes stared out into the same sunrise as I did. Joseph sighs into the wind and his hands grip the balcony railing as I lean against the pillar, he was no longer startled by my sudden presence.

I felt compelled to walk the length of my childhood home one last time and found him here.

"I'm thinking about an eternity

"I'm thinking about an eternity. What it must feel like," he says.

The ocean had its gentle whispers in our ears as it crashed into the cliff just below the balcony on this side of the mansion.

"An eternity? What an odd thing to think about at a time like this," I suggest as I nervously dig my hands into my pockets.

"Is it really though? I'm thinking about what it's going to feel like to spend the eternity of my lifespan by the side of the man I love the most," He says. There was a certain purity to the sound of his voice. Not a hint of humor nor sarcasm came through in his tone which was oddly comforting.

"Your starting to sound like me, it's kind of scary," I remark and he smiles without turning to me, continuing to stare out at the picturesque scene.

"Sorry, I've just been thinking about you all night, I couldn't sleep," He yawns and scratches the back of his head.

"Good thoughts I hope...or were they second thoughts?" I ask. Although I knew the answer I was still nervous for his reply. But Joseph remains silent as he stares into the ocean's light blue bliss.

"We don't have to get married you know, we can just cancel the whole thing and you can...well...you can-" He finally turns to me and when his loving gaze meets mine I stop mid-sentence.
