(Joseph POV)

I gently chew the tip of my eraser as I write down the answer to the last problem. I had dropped out of high school when I was diagnosed with cancer because it got to be too much. I didn't need a degree anyway when all I was going to do was work at my brother's shop.

But with Peter in my life, I wanted to try to better myself and pass this stupid test so I felt just a little less worthless in comparison to his genius and charm.

What could he possibly see in me anyway?

I didn't tell my fiance about taking the test to receive my high school diploma because I probably wouldn't pass anyway.

I lean against the hood of the car, yanking on my white tank top before wiping the sweat from my face.

"Hey manito, are you okay?"

My older brother Ash calls out and I let out a long sigh. Stretching my aching back from being under hover vehicles all day.

"I'm fine, Just nervous is all, I might get my diploma today," I tell him in Spanish and he pats me on the back.

"I'm sure you'll get it you studied so hard, and if not, there's always next time," he says as he takes a swig from his water bottle.

"But I can tell you're tense. It's getting late, why don't you go home," He suggests and I look at my watch, the same watch Peter gave to me when we traveled to America.

"Since when is 12 am late for you?" I ask and he grunts.

"Take it or leave it kiddo. There's a lot of work here so I probably won't be coming home tonight," he says and I roll my eyes.

"Then I'm going to stay and help you out here," I argue but he shakes his head.

"Go home Jojo, Relax, invite that famous boyfriend of yours over if you know what I mean," Nash winks then yelps when I kick his culo halfway across the shop.

"Aish, He's not coming over, but I guess I could use the extra sleep." I grab my navy jacket and sunglasses.

Although it was midnight and pitch black outside, the light from the flash of paparazzi still hurts when I forget to put them on and then I wind up with blue halos in my vision for what feels like hours on end.

"Liar." Nash chuckles as he grabs a new part from the shelf and I decide to leave him be.
