(Jamie POV)

"You're all here, good,"

Prince Henry says nervously as I walk into the large bedroom tucked into one of the corners of the mansion. It was impressive with a full wall of floor to ceiling windows and bookshelves with variously sized ladders that ran through the shelves.

I wouldn't have guessed it was a bedroom had it not been for the large circular bed in the center.

"Is there something wrong your royal majesty?" I ask as I plop down on the large circular bed next to Aiden and Lei.

Mari's older sister; Elucillana, comes into the room in a long red silk dress displaying her pregnant stomach before she closes the door behind her with a loud echoing boom.

"Ella, I don't think we should-" The prince tries to object but Ella shoves him aside.

"We have no other choice. The mission is simple enough and with some training, they'll be able to do it," She says and I look over at Lei and Aiden. Their faces showed they were just as confused.

"Anything said here does not leave this room. More importantly, it does not reach your significant others," Ella starts and Henry goes to interject again but she darts him an evil glare.

"Especially you," She points to me and I nervously gulp.

What the fuck did I just get myself into.

"My father is alive. And you're going to save him,"

"What?! This must be a joke right? You're messing with us," Aiden burst out laughing but no one else joined him. He quiets down after realizing they were serious.

"As you all know, the Grayson family formed the secret organization known as Next Generation. My father, Peter Grayson, has been kidnapped by our greatest enemy, the genetic laboratory known as Kircat. They kidnapped our father is because they needed his genius to create new experiments. Especially after seeing what his first experiment, my brother Marius, could do." She says and looks at me.

"Wait, Mari isn't some experiment? He is your brother!" I stand up and she scoffs.

"My real baby brother died when he was five and that...thing...took his place," she smirks. I sit back down on the bed in awe and confusion.

"Of course Mari doesn't know and that's why anything said here can't leave this room," Henry quickly suggests and I only shake my head in response.

Everything was starting to make sense.

Why Mari lived alone, why his close siblings didn't care when he was beaten by his ex-boyfriend, and why he was a black sheep in the family.

It must have something to do with the wolf.

"Mari's was given a serum created by our father when he was younger which changed his body and his DNA. Giving him the powers you saw at the battle of Notting Hill. He was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer and granted powers that allowed him to heal, but that came at a cost." Henry continues to explain.

"And the cost was his body was given to an enigma as a host. So Marius shares his body with a god-like spirit that presents itself in a wolf form." He tries to dumb it down for us but I had a better idea. One I had been thinking of since the battle had occurred.
