As I walked into CCI, all I could remember was my first few weeks of high school before I became famous.

I remembered when Damian and I walked up to the front steps of the school. We both looked at each other and grinned. This year was going to be amazing. "This year is going to be amazing!" Damian said mirroring my thoughts. I simply grinned at him. "What?" He said.

"Nothing" I replied. Although I kept staring at him.

"What?" He asked exasperated.

"You look really good today" Which was true considering he was the all-star football player. If only I was popular too, then he wouldn't be made fun of. "Thanks" Damian said with a small smile.

"Why do you hang out with me?" I asked, desperate to hear the same answer that he's been giving me since preschool.

"I hang out with you because you are my best friend and that nothing in the world will separate that bond between us, not even a relationship." I started smiling, until I heard about the relationship part. Damian has never said that before. I looked into his nearly black eyes and wondered. Did that mean a relationship with anyone else wouldn't stop our friendship? I hoped to god it was because I would rather it not be the other alternative: No relationship with him. The thought of that was like a slap in the face.

If he ever found out that I like him, I'd be doomed. It's not like he'd go out with me anyways. I wasn't as pretty and popular as the girls that his friends hanged out with. To be truthful, I didn't have any other friends except for Damian. I think that's why he would always sit with me at lunch or hang out with me all the time. But back then, I had no idea what my crush would lead too.

Damian and I continued our usual habits throughout the first few weeks of high school. Near the end of September though, was when everything fell apart.

Damian found out throught the grapevine that I liked him. He came up to me and confronted me about it. I admitted to the truth. He walked away and didn't look back. I called his cell and left the voicemail: "Damian, I'm sorry. I didn't think you would find out and I didn't want you to find out. Things can go back to the way they were, I promise. Please give me another chance. I'll be waiting for whenever you're ready.". I hung up.

Soon enough after that, an agent figured out I had a voice that could get me far. Before I knew it, I was saying goodbye to everything I knew, loved, and grew up with. Damian never came to the airport. I was heartbroken. A little later, I found myself eating at expensive and fabulous restaurants with famous celebrities and being followed by thousands of crazed fans around the country, and then around the globe. Three years later, and here I am. Standing in front of that same school, with a totally new chance to start the year. I truly believed that this year was going to be amazing, especially along side Nick.
