S I X:A secret

I closed my eyes,letting my newfound determination to course through me.A newfound determination to make Phil feel better.I am,after all,very very stubborn so I kind of pity Phil(I won't leave him alone until he feels better so..).I'll make him feel better at any cost,or at any cost I can afford more like.Audra,as if feeling my own determination,started to pulsate with energy by Esen's side-who was still making candy drops for Phil."It's okay,E.We'll make him feel better,promise,"I pet him,gently."Good boy,"I hummed,smiling at Audra trying to help make Esen feel better too.They're really cute together.It's like they find comfort in each other's presence and hear tranquility in each other's humming and soft songs.A beautiful relationship it is.Small things like this bring happiness to troubled minds if they focus enough.Albeit I am guilty of not appreciating them much in the past,I try to do that more now.Eyes closed again,I relax into the chair.Maybe that's what Phil needs,to find peace and happiness in miniscule things.

One minute I'm in my happy place with butterflies and Kanye hits blasting in the background,the other I'm attacked by something long,wriggly and wet.Jolting up right in shock,I looked around to see what or who the culprit is."I told you that you should stop closing your eyes in public,"Phil chuckled as he wiped the left over moisture off of his hands."Very funny,Lester,"I inspected his face to search for a hint of genuinity.It's there..scarce,but existing.I rolled my eyes at him as he bowed,"Thank you,thank you."I couldn't help but laugh,though.Mostly at this grown man bowing,but also at his courage to be this goofy in public.I guess that's what makes him this amiable."Why'd you take so long in the bathroom?"I started,"It's not like you're PMsing or something,right?"He didn't roll his eyes but I could almost see it in his smile."Har har har,so funny,"he pretended to double over in laughter."You're a grown ass man,act like one,"I narrowed my eyes playfully at him."Look who's talking,the loser of the competition,"he narrowed his eyes back and for a second they looked blue and vibrant enough to be a river and I almost stared..almost."Uh what?"Competition?"Don't tell me you already forgot about the jumpscare competition?"His eyes shine with a victorious glint and it's the first genuine emotion I see him have all day.One a side notes,I already forgot about the competition-shit."Uh no,I didn't I was just anti....cipating it..?"I shrugged."Whatever you say,slave,"Phil is very competitive,note taken.I pretended to be mad,my eyebrows furrowed,but a smile on my lips."What jumpscare competition?"PJ asked,approaching our table with a drink in his hand.Phil stiffened,and don't ask me how I could tell.Oh boy,this'll be an afternoon and a half.

The amount of tension between these two can kill a grown man (which will possibly be me).I can tell that Phil hadn't  meant to upset PJ with whatever he did,but I can also tell how made PJ is.PJ is smiling and talking to me like everything's ok,yet whenever Phil talks PJ avoids engaging in the conversation like the plague.I'm like the bridge between the worlds here,and it's getting too much for this bridge to handle."Um,gotta cut this short.I got some stuff to do,class-related stuff.So yeah,see you guys around and thanks for the drink,"I hurriedly said whatever came to my mind to escape this situation.Phil looked at me like a lost puppy,his eyes screaming mayday mayday I'm dying,PJ will actually murder me mayday."It's fine,Dan.My shift's soon anyway,and I've got to film some stuff for a project I'm working on-about Micheal Jackson and vampires,"PJ started,"with lotsa effects and camera focusing,"he added."I'll text you later then,and make sure I'll be the first to see that Micheal Jackson vampire,"I smiled at PJ's idea.Of course he'd make a Micheal Jackson and vampires short film.He nodded,"Sureino."Phil's eyes were still fixed on me."Come on,Audra.We're leaving,"I poked her.She wanted to stay by Esen I know that from her hesitance.She's a sweetheart."We'll see Esen later,promise,"she eased at that,floating then resting on my head."See you,Phil,"I gave him a small wave.He only nodded.
