"So?"I,impatiently,queried.Phil sighed a long,tired,and sick sigh."Esen was just really sick,ok?I was scared something'll happen to him so I stayed up a bit late to take care of him.PJ didn't like that cause I stay up a lot and he's just worried and all,"he sniffled.He took a tissue from the pokemon covered tissue box and blew his nose hard.Taking a deep breath,I smiled at Phil."Phil,can you do me a favor?"I asked.For a second,he looked terribly confused but he brushed it off and his face slightly lit up.Phil nodded,signaling me to go on."Stop lying to my face Phil.I know you aren't saying the full truth,something's up.And I know it's weird and creepy that I can tell you aren't saying the truth even if we haven't been friends since preschool and hadn't made any weird clubhouses together or something but I can somehow tell you're lying.It's like something is screaming it to me,so do me this kindness and stop lying okay?I'm here,"I finished rambling to catch my breath.Phil shook off the startled look off of his face and smiled a warm,gentle smile that makes it seem as if flowers will bloom on his face.Just how in the hell does he do that?"You know..I kind of figured you won't buy it,"he stopped and looked off to the window with weak,glazed eyes."Like you said,it's like something was screaming to me to just say the truth and not half arse through it cause I knew you'd tell but I didn't say the full truth anyway.Guess I'm not ready,you know?It's not a piece of cake and it won't just roll off my tongue,Danny.And it isn't that I don't trust you cause I do,but it's more like the danger that lies in just blurting out something like that..especially to someone I care about,you know?"he stopped yet again,only this time to cough then continued,"So let's just say..I'm working on something revolutionary that some not very nice people want to themselves,"Phil rasped and coughed once more.

That someone is me,why does that make me extravagantly happy?

"Why do they want it to themselves?Who are they?"I know I shouldn't ask him or pressure him this much while sick but I can't help myself.This 'they' is making me on edge.Audy started dropping a lot of chocolate minieggs.Phil looked at Audy intensely then started rubbing her fluff in circles."Shush,girl.It's ok.Dan's ok and so am I.Dan's just worried about me cause he's a good friend so that's good kay?"he comforted her like an expert.She started to calm down but didn't seize the minieggs.I'm really on edge,and I can't help it.Who the hell is they??"They are just some impolite people,and they want my project for their own greedy desires,Dan.They're horrendous and disgusting,"he bit his lips."Since when do you use fancy words like horrendous Philly?"I teased,trying to lighten the mood.Phil's smile replaced the troubled expression he'd worn a second ago."Since forever,haven't you noticed that I'm einstein's long lost relative?"he kept his smile small but sincere."Yeah,you two look alike enough,"I rolled my eyes at him."Hey!What's that supposed to mean?Albert was handsome and so am I,"he huffed playfully."Sure,you both have white hair if that's what you mean by handsome,gramps,"his mood was starting to lift a tad and my chest swelled with pride.It was my own stupid banter and jokes that made him smile and that made me happy and proud as hell."We agreed no to gramps,kid,"he said,ruffling my hair.I swatted his hands away and pretended to be mad,but we both soon fell into a fit of laughter.Phil's laughter died down to a smile,"Thanks,Dan."I returned his smile.I've been smiling so much in the last few days that I think my cheeks will grow abs."Don't mention it.I won't lie to you and say I'm not worried or something like that,but I understand so I won't try pushing you to talking or anything like that.Just promise to talk when you're ready?"I said.He left his mug and reached for a hug."Promise,"he whispered,his voice sending chills up my spine.I hugged him back tightly and we sat like that for a bit."This is nice,"Phil mumbled."Yeah,"I agreed,my smile never faltering.

My heart felt like a caged bird,trying to desperately be free.Free of what,I don't really know.I like this feeling though,so,for the meantime,birdie stays caged but happy.

"Don't mean to interrupt you mates but uh Dan who's your boy toy?"
