We walk to the quarry and get ready to swim. Eddie wants to take a walk though so I go with him. He goes to the deep Side  of the quarry. The ground isn't stable there but the view is beautiful. Eddie can't swim in the deep Side on the count of his weak arms which I find adorable. We walk until we are under a tree on a cliff under the deep water. Eddie stand on the edge. So do I. We can see everyone in the water from we're we're standing. Eddie looks at me. "Tozier" he says "yeah?" I ask. "Do you care about me?" He asks. "Eds your the most important thing in my life." I say. "So you like me?" He asks. "I never said I didn't" I wink at him. He smiles.

I hear a cracking noise but before I can blink. Eddie is falling off the cliff yelling I grab his arm and strain my muscles. He slides off. My heart beats fast, I panic. Eddie is dead... I think to myself. No.. I jump into the water. I'm going to risk my like for Eddie. Because out of every single heart that's beating, I only ever hear Eddie's. Tears fall out my eyes. And fly into the air. I grab Eddie's hand and drag him to shore. He can't breathe so I push on his stomach and water spews out. I hug him.

"A-are you ok?!"    He smiled and nodded. Bev and the group asks if were ok. "Yeah!" We respond. They put a thumbs up and go back to swimming. We sit down and wait a little for them to be done swimming  they come out and wrap themselves in towels. "Truth or dare?" Bev asks. We all agree. "Ok Richie t or d." She asks. "Hmm.. Truth." I says. "Who is the cutest in the group?" She asks. You all are, we all just catch that special someone like a highlighted word in a boring book." Or in this case. Just another kid in a highschool." Everyone looks at Eddie.

It's time to go, an  I ask Eddie if he wants to come over and study. He agrees and we walk to my house. My parents don't know who Eddie is. We walk through the door an  my mom made apple pie. Eddie takes a Piece, an  sits at the kitchen table. "You can eat in my room if you want" I say. Eddie follows me while we study. "You boys have fun!" My mom says. "Thanks Mrs. Tozier." He says.
