*Eddie*

Tomorrow is prom, i wan  to go with Richie, but I'm afraid he doesn't wanna go with me. I buy some chocolate. It  my allowance but whatever. I kick rocks as i walk to Richie's house. I knock on the door. It's the morning, and a Sunday.  Bowers will be back in, i suppose a month. I knock on his door and then rub my knuckles, it was a little too hard. A voice that sounds stuffy, an  like it was crying says-" I'm coming, I'm coming."

Oh man, what if this was a bad idea. I decided i should book it, but just when i was  going to run, th  door opens. "Oh its just you" he scoffs. Not looking any more  amused than he sounds. "Look Richie I'm sorry, and i know it sounds stupid but i can't  live without you-" i get cut off, "then you can go die" he says not looking  like he cares even a little. Richie tries to close the door but i hold it back, "now what?!" I get a little startled. "Will you go prom with m-" his eye twitches. "Your sick" he says and he looks angry and calm at the same time.

Before he slams the door on me he punches the chocolate  out of my hands, And  the door coldly shut  on my face. I feel something, like a fence ramming me in the stomach, or getting run over by a train. I walk away and get a last look at the chocolate on the yard. They look like freckles on Richie's face. I look through his window while i walk hes watching judge Judy, and I'm surprised i can even see due to all that ice cream. I walk to my house. Who am i kidding. I messed up. I try to drift off to sleep but Mike says he doesn't have a date and Ben is sick so he cant go with Bev so all three  of us can go. I agree and feel a little better. I hear  Richie is going alone so i tell  them not to worry about him. I try to get some rest. The next morning i get up and put my prom clothes  into my backpack to change  into at the end of the day-
