*Eddie*

I get up because i hear knocking. Richie groans because he wants me to stay. "Just a second" i whisper. "Ok.." he mumbles tiredly. I walk downstairs and open the door. I see a letter on the front step and Jay is running down the street away. I shrug and take the letter while walking inside. I go back to Richie's room and hes putting on his glasses. "Hey what's that in your hand?" He asks. I shrug "its a letter from Jay." "Hm ,cmon lets read it" i say. I sit on his bed next to him and open it. He hold one side i hold the other. "Dear Eddie, im sorry for what i did i think you felt uncomfortable because you didn't know me, please give me another chance, i know who you are, so do you wanna go out? -Jay" i look over at Richie. I smile and crumple up the paper and he goes into hug me. "Eddie" he says through sniffs. "Hm" i ask quietly. "Do you really care about me?" He asks.

"Richie.. if the all the people in our school was dangling off a cliff and i could only save one, I would save you." I say. He cries louder. I hold him tighter. "Its gonna be ok.." i say. We hug for about another fifteen minutes. "Oh man we have school" i say. Luckily we woke up at 7. Me and him change and i grab my things. We run out the door to school. And meet Stanley there along with Bill. We walk in the building to English. Jay sits behind me. And i turn around and shake my head at him. I ignore him because he had the nerve to ask me out when he knew i was upset. What a jerk. I look over at Richie. Hes taking notes. I take notes too. Its lunch time and we had to have lunch with more classes han usual because on of their classes was off schedule. We were the last class to come in. I sit next to Richie. There is only one sit across me and Richie and jay is the last one. He walks over. "Hey jay how bout you go stand on the wall." Richie says raising an eyebrow. "And how about you go buy some duck tape instead of chocolates for Eddie who doesnt even like you, and use that tape to close your mouth." The losers look at him, including me. Richie never looked madder. "Hey can you meet me in the hallways Jay?" I ask. "Sure" he says. We walk out the door. I grab his collar and an shove him against the wall.

"Id never go out with you, but when you said i didn't like Richie oh boy you dont really know what your saying." I say looking dead in his eyes. "Well acta-" i punch him in the face again and again and he starts bleeding. I throw him on the floor and tears are rolling down my face. I jump on him and start punching him more and more. Beverly and Ben run out the door. "Hey is everything oka-" says Beverly. "OH MY GOSH EDDIE STOP!!" They scream. I don't stop i keep punching and crying. Ben pulls me off just as Jay scratches me in the arm. Beverly pulls him from under me as Ben walk me back to the table. Richie grabs my arm. And wipes my face. "Eddie what's wrong?!" He asks in panic. I fall into his shoulder. He hugs me and asks, "Ben what happened?" He asks. Eddie beat jay up so bad, there was blood everywhere." He says. "He said I didn't like you" i mumble into his shoulder. "Cmon Eddie lets clean you up." He says helping me up and we walk to the bathroom.

He waits as i wash my face and he shoves paper towels in my face. I laugh. After school we walk behind the school. He sits across from me at a bench. I see jay in the parking lot walking to house. After talking for a while Richie gets out of his spot on the bench. He bends down on one knee.
