My Brother's Beta is My Mate!?!

Chapter 6

Rylee's POV

When we got to the forest I froze. No not him. Anyone but him. It was Nashua or Nash for short. I thought he was dead though. Jake stopped and looked at me I shook my head before shifting. I started the battle by going after Nash.

I growled at him when he threw me to the ground. We circled each other growling at each other. He went to pounce but I was quicker. I got a hold of his next and he shifted back before I killed him I released him and he hugged me.

I shifted back with my clothes still on and awkwardly patted his back.

"Rylee your okay thank goodness."

"What are you talking about Nash?"

"Come on follow me."

I got up and followed him to a clearing where no one could see us.

"The reason I'm rouge and we are here is because of your dad. He wanted me to kill you but I couldn't do that to you. I've been your best friend forever and it hurt when I saw you get hurt. That's why I was never around. Now when I didn't want to kill you your father kicked me out of the pack. He then went to the pack of rouges that I joined for temporary and gave then the job. I came because I wanted to see you again and so I can warn you and protect you."

I smiled and nodded and we shifted running back to the battle. I saw that Jake was pinned to the ground so I ran and pounced on the wolf that was in Jake. We fought as Jake went to help Jaydon and Nash.

Where were you Rylee?

Talking with my best friend.

You mean the one that you went after?

Yeah.

After that I blocked all communication with everyone and focused on the battle. When I saw the wolf leading this attack I went after him. We fought for a while and I was in a terrible condition but I managed to kill him. After that all the rouges left except Nash. I shifted back to human form and laid on the ground. Jake ran over holding me close then pick me up. I saw Nash look at me and for the first time in a long time I saw fear flash in his eyes.

Jaydon and Nash ran up and helped Jake carry me to the hospital. When I tried closing my eyes Nash would let a tear fall which this happened often. Jaydon was in tears screaming out with me when ever a shot of pain went through me because of our twin bond. Jake just groaned because he was trying to stay calm. Sometimes the pain was so strong that we had to stop walking cause Jaydon would fall to the ground screaming.

"Rylee don't close your eyes."

That was Blake's voice. He ran up to me and carried me the rest of the way  without stopping to wait for the boys.

"Why aren't you waiting Blake?"

"Because if I wait she won't make it Nash."

I screamed again really loud and Jake ran over. When we got there the doctors rushed out and grabbed me. All I remember is being rush through the halls before everything went black.

Jake's POV

While Rylee was I surgery the took her brother to a sound proof room so every time she was hurt he could scream as long as he wanted. I was in a different room for the same reasons. If Rylee doesn't make it I will kill every rouge in that pack that came with the leader she killed.

The door opened and a doctor came in having blood all over his gloves.

"Beta Jake, your mate is awake in her room ready to see you and her twin so come on."

I jumped up and saw that Jaydon was already out in the hall. Luckily the pain had stopped because I wasn't sure how much more I could take. We walked through the halls until we got to Rylee's room. They opened the door and I ran over by Rylee who laid on the bed still asleep.

I sat down holding her hand and laying my head by her hip. Jayson did the same thing I did only on the other side.

Sometime I fell asleep but I was waken up by Rylee's hand tightening around mine. I shot up and shook Jaydon as he woke up Rylee opened her eyes.

"Oh my gosh Rylee your ok."

I gave her a quick kiss and hugged her as Jaydon went to get a doctor. She pulled away laughing and hugging me back.

"I love you Rylee."

"I love you too Jake."

I smiled and put my head by her hip again and smiled as she ran her hand through my hair. I shivered from her touch but kept my head by her hip. I missed having her fun her hands through my hair.

"Okay so she is able to go home but take it easy for a couple of days and she should be good."

I nodded from my position and thanked the doctor before helping Rylee out of bed. Tomorrow i was planning on asking her to marry me. I really hope she says yes. He never said anything about her walking so we can walk to where i want to take her. I can only hope that she says yes. Her brothers know and i made them swear to secrecy.

"Jake."

"Rylee."

"What are you thinking about?"

"Oh just the plans i have for us tomorrow babe."

I gave her a quick kiss before i set her on the bed. I laid down next to her carefully putting my arm around her waist. And pulled her to me. I kissed her head then and let her get comfortable before she went to sleep. I ended up going to sleep with a dorky smile on my face. I couldn't wait for tomorrow.
