Chapter 10

Joel's POV

I looked up at the doctor telling him to go on.

"Joel you may see your mate but it will take a bit for her to wake up. She has stitches so be careful okay?"

I nodded my head and Jake came with me to go see my mate. I walked down so many hallways with so many doors until we got to my mate's room. I walked in my heart broke at the sight of her. Wires we coming out of her arms while she was just sleeping.

I walked over to her and set my head by her hand. I slowly closed my eyes and ended up falling asleep next to my hurt mate.

I was waken up all too soon by one of the doctors. I noticed that he was holding onto a tray if food. He handed me it and then walked out. I sat there and looked at it. I wasn't hungry. I set it aside and just looked at my mate. She was beautiful.

She had blonde hair with some white in it and she wasn't under weight either. Suddenly I felt her hand squeeze mine.

My eyes widened and i watched her closely with excited eyes. She squeezed my hand again. I hopped out of my seat and mind linked Jake. Pretty soon he got here with the doctor and just then she opened her eyes. I looked at the color of her eyes and couldn't think straight. Purple eyes with blue specks. I felt like I couldn't look away.

"Who are you guys?"

"I'm Joel or Joe for short. I'm your mate."

"I'm Beta Jake, Joel's friend."

"I'm Dr. May, the one who saved your life."

"Wait when did you find me. All I remember was getting attacked by some other rouges then smelling you Joel."

At least she knew I was close before she fainted.

"Well after you lost conscious Joel came to the clearing. He was shocked cause you had a huge cut on your side. After he snapped out of it he picked you up and ran to the pack house. He set you down for like a minute and ran in and got me and the Alpha. We helped him get you here. Even when we got here it took a bit to get him to let the doctors fix you up. He didn't want you to get hurt worse then you already were."

I smiled at her as she looked at me with love in her eyes.

"What's your name?"

"My name is Samantha or Sam for short."

"Sam, I like it."

She giggled which made me happy knowing that I could make her smile.

"So when can I get out of here?"

"Well let me check on your cut and then we will go from there."

I growled a bit but she turned and put her hand on my cheek. I kissed the palm of her and held her hand while he did that. I then heard her yelp in pain which made me growl at the doctor.

"Joe I'm trying to be easy okay?"

I just nodded my head and looked Sam in the eyes the whole time. Everytime she yelped in pain I growled. Everytime I growled Sam would put her hand on my cheek. After the tenth time of me growling she just left her hand on my cheek.

"Joe, it's okay."

"I'm sorry. What are you doing anyway mom?"

Yeah you heard me right. The doctor is my mom. Her name is Shanon May. Samantha froze and looked over at my mom. My mom just laughed and told told me she was taking out the stitches. I nodded and looked at Sam. She looked nervous about my mom being here so i just gave her a small kiss on the forehead.

"There we go. You are good as new."

"Thank you Joel's mom."

"Please call me Shanon or mom. You are my son's mate after all."

She smiled and I helped Sam up before giving my mom a hug. Sam came to my side and my mom hugged her smiling. I laughed as my mom mouthed that she likes my mate already. I of course agreed but I don't like her, I love her.

"Have a good day you two."

"You too mom."

She smiled and we walked away. Shoot today is the wedding.

"Sam today we have a wedding for Jake. Do you wanna go or just chill in our room?"

"I wanna go."

"Well I'm sure my sister has something you can borrow."

We walked back to the pack house and I was tackled by Sarah, my fraternal twin. I heard Sam growl which made me pull away.

"Sarah, this is my mate Samantha. Samantha this is my sister Sarah."

"You found your mate! Oh my gosh is she going to the wedding? If so I have the perfect dress for her."

"Yes she's going to the wedding. Don't break my mate though."

Samantha hugged me and I gave her a small kiss on her head.

"You'll be okay. Now I have to go get ready. I'm Jake's best man."

"Okay. See you later Joe."

I smiled and walked up stair to go get ready for the wedding hoping Jake won't be so mad. I ran up to his room got ready and waited for it to start.

Sam's POV

Me and Sarah were sitting at the wedding waiting for it to start. I couldn't help but think that this would hopefully be Joe and I. I already love him and I haven't known him for a day. I watched Joel as he talked to Jake. His smiled is something I couldn't help but smile too. He had beautiful golden brown hair and bright crystal blue eyes. He looked at me smiling with love in his eyes.

Then the music started and I had to look away unfortunately. I looked at the bride and gasped. That's Rylee. I knew her when we were younger.

I soon spaced out and before I knew it the wedding was over.

I heard a scream and gasped. Rouges.

"Joel!"

"Sam!"

I was grabbed by a rouge and the pain from the grab made me scream out in pain. Soon I felt him let go. I turned around and saw the rouge dead. The way the wolf came and laid in front of me let me know that it was Joel.

I shifted and helped kill the rest of the rouges and soon enough they were all dead.

"Sam!"

"Joel!"

I hugged Joel as tight as I could. I pulled back and gave him a long kiss. He instantly responded and walked inside with me. Soon I heard a gasp and by the smell of this chick she was a slut.

"Joel how dare you cheat on me."

"One I was never with you and two I wouldn't sleep with you if you were the only female one earth. I waited for my mate and you aren't going to change that."

She growled but I growled louder. She went to hit me but I dodged it and punched her square in the nose.

"Don't look, think or even het close to my mate got it."

She nodded and ran off with fear in her eyes. I felt Joel wrap his arms around my waist and I relaxed into his chest.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
