chapter 5: The heartbreak kid

A/N-- I hope everyone liked chapter 4. It was a turning point in the dynamic between Kurt and Blaine. And you guys will continue to point out the power shift. So enjoy and vote.

Work should be fun today. Not because of my successful launch party that happened, but what happened towards the end of the party when Blaine Anderson tried to kiss me. That no good lying cheater tried to kiss me. Why in the hell would he even attempt to make move on me? Last time I checked to him I was desperate. And just like a woman scorned I don't forget. As soon as I stepped off the elevator to my floor my employees were clapping and cheering for me. I couldn't be more proud.

"Thank you all."

"Your like a legend Mr. Hummel!"

"Barely, but thank you. And because you guys were so nice we can leave work early around 2 today." Everyone cheered and was pleased by my generosity. I looked past the happy employees to see one Blaine Anderson by my office waiting on me to notice him.

I walked past everyone and gestured for him to enter before I got there. I closed the door behind me.

"What the hell last night about Blaine?"

"I was caught up in the moment."

I let out a sinister laugh before responding. "So you're telling me that us yelling at each other was the right moment for you to try and kiss me?"

"Okay when you put it like that it sounds ridiculous. " he said looking down.

"So again ,why did you try to kiss me?"

"Because I realized I may have made a mistake." The room went silent. I was taken back by how honest he was.

"You know what we don't have to talk about this anymore. Just go back to your desk."

"Kurt I'm serious! You wanted a real answer and I'm giving you one."

"Well now I don't want to talk about it anymore. "

"Look I know I was a huge jerk in high school. And the way I treated you was dead wrong."

"I think you should leave. Now."

"Kurt will you look at me! I'm trying hard to say what I'm feeling."

"Well fuck feelings and go home for the rest of the day."

        Blaine looked at me for a couple of seconds before doing what I asked. This could not be happing. Blaine Anderson isn't capable of having real feelings or emotions for anyone other than himself.  Why come back in my life , tell me I'm ridiculous or being weird about working together and yet he's the one who made it weird.

          As I promised once it hit 2 o clock everyone was free to go. I stayed back for a while making sure everything was okay before leaving.

        I waited outside for my driver to pick me up. "Kurt." I turned around to see Blaine again.

"What the hell do you want now?" I asked exhausted.

"We need to talk about us."

"Their is no us. It will never be an us."

"It use to be." He argued.

"Yea your right and you fucked it up real bad."

"Which is why I want to talk about it. How about we talk at that bar a couple blocks down?"

"No way." I took my phone out to call my driver. While I was calling Blaine snatched my phone and hung up. "What the hell Anderson!"

"I'm serious Kurt.  Let me explain myself and why I was such a ass to you.  "

"Fine. You get 20 minutes of my time and if I don't like what I'm hearing I'm leaving."

"That's fine. Let's go."

     I texted Tom and let him know I went to a bar and to be there instead of at my job.  Blaine and sat across from each other at the table in silence before our drinks came.

"You only have 20 minutes so make it good."

He looked up and was ready to speak.
