Mark of a Hero Part 5

"Yea....so Mari is my Ladybug?" adrien said with a smile on his face.

"Yep, but you can't tell Ladybug that you know her true identity or even give a clue, she doesn't want to know." plaqq said looking sternly at adrien.

"B...fine" adrien said pouting, then a bright smile hit his face. "Then i'll protect her with and without the mask!" adrien said happily.

"Yea, yea, whatever...i helped you now, cheese" plaqq said holding his arms out.

Adrien handed him some cheese with a sigh.

"You know I thought for a minute that you would stop it about that cheese."

"Never, cheese is the best"

"Why do you like cheese?" he said with while covering his nose from the smell

"Why do you like girls so much?"

"Ok,one I don't like 'girls' I like Ladybug . And two maybe oh I don't know, girls smell better than cheese"

Plaqq sighed "cheese tastes better than girls" plaqq said as he ate the cheese in one bite.

" you don't know that, plaque" adrien said rolling his eyes.

"Kid...neither do you." plaq said as he laughed a little, and adrien crossed his arms and stuck out his tongue.

"Hey kid, you asked for it" plaqq said rubbing his stomach.

"How? I gave you cheese" adrien said looking at him in disgust.

"It took to long, kid" plaqq said.

"Wow" adrien said.

The next day Mari woke up to herself as she looked in the mirror, she turned them around. She didn't like what she saw on her shoulder, not one bit.

Adrien woke up smiling, he was starting to like his mark more and more by the minuet. They both woke up and got ready in there normal outfits.

Mari walked downstairs and got breakfast. "Hey mom." Mari said grabbing her bowl.

"Do you have it yet?" her mom said. Mari was hoping to tell her no, but before she could have answered her mom was already checking behind her jacket.

"N-mom!" Mari said surprised.

"Oh you do!" her mom said happily. "Who's is it" her mom said looking up at her.

"I-i think I know, but i'm not that happy with it. In fact I hate it." she said looking down.

"Honey that's impossible" she said covering it back up. "Everyone loves their mark. I'm sure it's adrien, I know how much you like him" she said confused.

"No it' Chat Noir" she said then looked at her mom. "Pretend you didn't hear me say this and pretend i'm just perfectly fine, ok?" 

"And why would I do that?" her mom said doubting everything she is saying.

"Because i'm the only one in the history of people getting marks who hates their mark!" Mari said as she ran upstairs.

Her mom wants to run after her but she can't, with her going back and forth, deciding what to do. Her mom knows that if Mari is sad or angry just to leave her alone, but she's her mother, she decides to just stay where she is, if Mari wanted to talk, she would have.

Mari sighs looking at her mark in the mirror. "chat ,out of everyone in the world, its chat."

"Mari don't be so negative, maybe you'll learn to love chaat." tikki said flying in front of her mark so Mari would stop looking at it.

"Love chat ha, the only way I would love chat is if he magically adrien." Marie said moving tikki out of the way and falling on her bed with a sigh.

"Something just don't work out, ok? And me and chat, are one of those things."

"Mari, how about you ask adrien what his mark is? If you loved him then he would have to get your mark, and maybe he will like Ladybug . Who doesn't love Ladybug ."

"I'm not Ladybug ." she said looking away from tikki.

"What do you mean you're not Ladybug . You have the kwami and you have the miraculous." moving in front of her face wanting her to talk about it.
"It's more than that tikki." Mari said moving away from tikki.

"If I tell you do not make any comment. Promise?"

"Uhh no! if you believe that you aren't Ladybug I need to convince you that you are"

"Ok then I won't tell you." crossing her arms and looking away.

"Ok, ok, ok. I won't comment." tikki said upset.

"Thank you." Mari sison the bed. "I'm not Ladybug because when i'm behind the mask I feel like I can do anything, and I can." tikki looked in her eyes. "People think of me as a hero and idolize me, they see a perfect women." Mari looked away from tikkis view and looked at the floor. "Behind the mask in a simple girl who can't do anything, I can't even talk to my crush without stuttering, I get bullied by chloe. I'm just a mess"

Tikki started to talk but quickly stopped herself.

"Mari?" tikki said looking out the window.

"I said not to comment" Mari said looking at her.

"I'm not going to just how bout you go outside, it's a beautiful day." tikki said.

"Tikki spots on." Mari said plainly, she just didn't want to talk to anyone and with tikki in the miraculous she couldn't talk.

As Ladybug flew house to house, seeing all of the happy people with their full family. A tear rolled down her face as she say alya happily in the park with nino and her family. She saw the sunset on the horizon line and wanted to follow it, hoping that what she is in now was just a dream. She stopped herself, and headed to the tower. When she sat down looking at the view she saw painters on the ground painting, she saw alya again her and nino were hand in hand with each other.

She looked at the ground and how far it was away. She looked at the sky thinking she couldn't even touch the clouds, but she reached up anyway.

"I'm still working on it daddy." she said looking at the clouds and picturing his face in the clouds.

"I just need time." she said looking back at all of the houses. "Time." looking at where mark is, but it's covered by her suit. She laid back down on her back imagining what a life with her father would be like.
