TAEHYUNG POV

Taehyung tried to muffle his sobs until he finally heard the front door close a moment later. He clutched his chest, unable to take in deep breaths. Those feelings he's felt most of his life came flooding back over him. The feelings of being unloved and unwanted, like a waste oxygen. Thoughts of razor blades and blood spilled through his mind, and he shook his head violently, trying to get rid of the terrible thoughts. He let himself cry until he was all dried up. He stood up, his body feeling a little weak.

He went out to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, freezing when he saw a bouquet of beautiful white flowers on the counter. "Oh Jungkookie," he sighed. "If only you knew the real reason why I did this."

•••••
(Two days later)

Taehyung wandered the halls of the school, keeping his head down like always. He hadn't seen Jungkook since the other night, and it made Taehyung hurt. Those feelings never left him, making the back of his throat ache.

"Kim Taehyung!"

Taehyung looked up at the owner of the voice. "Oh, hi Sehun. What do you want?"

Sehun pushed Taehyung against the nearby lockers. "Yoongi told me he has a boyfriend now, and Jungkook mentioned that he really likes a guy. So, I want to know why you are seducing all of my friends."

"I-I'm not." Taehyung cursed at himself for stuttering.

"Obviously you are. You had to work your homosexual charms on them. Well guess what, Taehyung." Sehun leaned in close, moving a hand onto Taehyung's throat, choking him slightly. Taehyung started having a hard time breathing. "Nobody will ever love you," Sehun spat. "Nobody has ever loved a homosexual." He pushed Taehyung into the locker one more time before he walked off.

Taehyung bent over to catch his breath for a minute, the slight pressure still remaining on his neck even after the owner of the hand had long since walked away. He looked up, seeing a pair of familiar eyes watching from afar. Jungkook stood across the hall, leaning against the lockers with his arms crossed. He had watched the whole thing with pursed lips.

Taehyung felt the tears coming, but he forced them back in before he picked his backpack up off the ground and walked out of the building, choosing to skip class for the day.

(Monday- the following week)

Taehyung had just gotten out of his last class of the day. He walked to his locker, grabbing his hoodie and dropping off his books before he started to exit the building. On his way out, he spotted Jungkook. The younger was talking to Tiffany, the girl from the kissing booth. The one Jungkook said he had gone on a date with but wasn't happy about it.

He was about to look away when he saw Jungkook pin her to the lockers, forcing his lips on hers. She put her hands through his dark locks, and Jungkook had one hand on Tiffany's thigh, while the other was on the back of her neck, deepening the kiss.

Taehyung wanted to vomit. He wanted to throw things. Break things. He wanted to cry. He also wished it was him instead of Tiffany. His heart shattered into a million glass shards. I knew he didn't care about me. Taehyung quickened his pace, ducking his head as he walked out the front doors of the school.

JUNGKOOK POV

Jungkook broke apart from Tiffany's lips when he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. He looked around and watched as Taehyung's familiar figure seemed to hurry out of the building. Shit, Jungkook thought. His shoulders dropped. Why did I let her convince me to give her another shot? The second chance I want is from Taehyung, not her.
