Jungkook woke up, surrounded by bright lights, white walls, and white bed sheets. His head was pounding, and he felt a pain in his back. He spotted a head of mint-colored hair next to his bed, asleep. Jungkook nudged the head, hearing soft mumblings from the other.

"Yoongi, wake up," Jungkook managed to say, before coughing, making his back hurt even more. "Fuck."

Yoongi's head rose off of the edge of the bed. After his eyes adjusted, a big gummy smile formed on his face. "Kook! You're awake! How are you feeling?"

Jungkook groaned. "What the hell even happened?"

Yoongi dropped his eyes. He was wanting to avoid this conversation. "T-Taehyung's father stabbed you."

Jungkook's eyes went big as he remembered the events. "Oh my God." That's when he remembered Taehyung, who had been barely conscious on the floor. "Yoongi, where the hell is Taehyung?"

Yoongi's eyes still averted Jungkook's. "H-He called me when you were in the ambulance over here. He explained what happened. He's okay, I think. He said he would be gone by the time you woke up. That's all I know."

Jungkook felt some wetness on his cheek. "H-He's gone?" His voice cracked.

Yoongi grabbed onto Jungkook's hand. "I'm sorry, Kook. I don't know anything else. He said he couldn't tell me where he was going." Suddenly Yoongi jumped up, startling Jungkook. "Holy crap! I forgot!" Yoongi grabbed his jacket before racing out of the room, leaving a speechless Jungkook behind.

Yoongi sprinted to his car, and then raced through red lights all the way to the address Taehyung had texted him from an unknown number. He parked his car, rushing up to the doorstep, grabbing the spare key from the potted plant next to the front door.

He opened the door and stepped foot into the small apartment. He wandered down the hallway, before stopping in the kitchen. There was no blood. It had all been cleaned up. Yoongi wasn't sure what he was looking for, so he started to search the place up and down, throwing open cabinet doors, digging through drawers. He only had one room left in the house: what he assumed was Taehyung's room.

Yoongi noticed a frame on the nightstand that had been flipped over. He picked it up and looked at it. It was a picture of Taehyung and Jungkook. He smiled before he put the small frame in his backpack, which he had decided to bring with him.

(Let's just say that this was the picture because I love this picture so much)

He scoured through every drawer in his nightstand and dresser, looking underneath all of the clothes Taehyung had left behind. He was about to give up when he heard a phone ringing near the bed. That's when the lightbulb in Yoongi's head went off, and he ran back over to the bed, grabbing the phone and checking the screen. He smiled before racing out of the apartment, back to his car, and then back to the hospital.

Jungkook sat alone in his bed, his eyes closed. He was tired and had tried to sleep since Yoongi rudely left, but he wasn't able to find comfort. His heart ached for Taehyung. He missed him so much already. He wanted to be by his side.

Jungkook was finally close to falling asleep when Yoongi burst through the doors, panting. He had his hands on his knees, catching his breath. Yoongi glanced up and saw Jungkook staring at him.

"S-Sorry I r-remembered I had t-to go f-find something." He took another moment to catch his breath before standing up, stepping closer to the bag. He unzipped it and pulled a frame out, handing it to Jungkook. "This was on his nightstand, I thought you might want to hold on to it for him."

Jungkook admired the photo, running his finger along the thin glass. He wiped the tears that were falling off of the glass before pressing the frame against his chest, closing his eyes. He took a deep breath, recalling Taehyung's taste of strawberries.

"I miss him, Yoongi. I miss his voice. I miss how he would always smell like strawberries with a hint of vanilla. I miss that adorable smile and laugh of his. I miss him so fucking much."

Yoongi was silent for a minute before handing Jungkook a phone. He soon recognized it as his own phone, and realized the whole time that his phone wasn't here. "This was also at Taehyung's house. There is something on there that might help you." Yoongi squeezed Jungkook's hand before leaving the room, gently closing the door.

Jungkook took a deep breath before checking his phone. He only had one notification, and just seeing it on his screen made his heart flutter.
