Kalani-

Beep beep beep

I groaned and smacked my alarm clock with my wrist. Ouch. I sat up and my eyes opened really big. It was Tuesday. I was going to sit with the populars today! My heart leaped out of my chest almost quite literally and I ran to the mirror in my tiny bathroom.

I curled my hair like usual. I did my makeup, spending extra time on it than I usually do and then I put on my favorite outfit: a floral skirt and a white top. I braided two front sections of my hair back and tied them in the back, securing it with a bow. I then pulled on my white converse and hopped down the stairs.

"Good morning!" I chirped to my brother, Jax, who stood in the kitchen.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked hesitantly.

"Nothing! It's a beautiful day, so why not be happy?" I sang, throwing a poptart into the toaster.

"You're acting weird. Are you high?"

I laughed.

"No silly, that's gross. I'm sitting with Maddie today!"

He rolled his eyes and grabbed my pop tart out of the toaster with his bare hands and was about to take a bite before I grabbed it. I went to sit down and watch The Fosters.

My phone buzzed and I looked down to see a text from Kendall.

"are you coming to school today"

I debated telling her if I was. Maddie told me to shun my friends because if I told them then she would have to deal with them trying to sit with us too, or something like that. So I ignored it and kept eating.

Mom came downstairs and told me to get ready to go. I grabbed my backpack and we left for school.

Maddie-

I was in the middle of straightening my hair with Chloe and Paige as her mom knocked on the door.

"Girls, there's fruit on the table when you're done."

"Okay, bye mom." Paige nodded and she went over to shut the door.

"Okay, so I know this is crazy, but I think I might like that Johnny guy from the sporty nerd group. He's perfect." Paige cooed.

I laughed.

"Oh no, is he on 'Maddie's super long list of guys we absolutely must not date or even touch for that matter'?" Paige smirked.

"No, he's cute and all, but it broke up him and Lindsey this morning remember, Chlo?" I recalled.

"Ah, yes. It was so funny," Chloe said. "But I still think your brother is adorable."

"Ew, Josh!?" Paige exclaimed. "Wait, I know that, why am I surprised."

"Ladies, ladies. I think that we should focus on the fraternity just down the street from my house," I giggled.

"College boys?! I'm in." Chloe laughed.

"Although, I'd really like to know who this mystery guy is that Maddie's dating." Paige nudged me while doing her mascara.

Chloe smiled big and I blushed.

"If we go to the fraternity party they are having next Friday, I'll be happy to introduce you." I winked.

"Oh! We have to find a guy for Kalani!" Chloe said.

"Yes. I was thinking, Mark?" Paige asked, waiting for my approval.

"Paige, honey, you are a genius." I smiled as I corrected Chloe's hand as she did her eyeliner.

We laughed and went down to the kitchen to eat some food.

"I found your man candy, Chlo!" I screamed as Josh sat in the kitchen and ate a plate of French fries.

"Why are you eating fries?" Paige asked as she shoved him out of her seat.

"Fries are a religion, my sweet sister." He said, holding one up to the ceiling.

She rolled her eyes and grabbed an apple. Chloe nervously hid behind me.

"Chloe, go!" I exclaimed, pushing her towards Josh.

She stumbled forwards and shot me a scowl. I smiled.

"Hey Chloe. You look pretty today." Josh said.

Chloe made a weird sound that sounded like a goose and a goat.

"Good lord." I mumbled.

Chloe ran back to me and I whispered to her that she needed a lesson on life and she nodded.

We ate fruit and got ready to go.

I couldn't wait for today.
