In an attempt to ignore the lecture from my disapproving mind, I escaped the bedroom. Without Jungkook in there it had begun to feel cold again.

I made my way to the kitchen but the mischievous man was nowhere in sight. Overtaking my curiosity, however, like a greedy puppy wanting to chase every ball in the park, was a need for breakfast. A night of drinking always led to a morning of eating straight after.

After shoving a couple of slices of bread in the toaster, I made myself a cup of coffee and watched eagerly for the toast to appear. I was so immersed in urging the toast to pop up, I didn't notice Jungkook walk in behind me.

A pair of arms curled around my waist. A head rested on my shoulder. Jungkook enveloped me in warmth and an involuntary sigh escaped me. I prayed he didn't hear it but my cheeks were dusted with pink and gave my embarrassment away clearly.

As if it had been cheekily awaiting the right moment to surprise me, the toast leapt from the toaster. I jumped backwards into Jungkook. My reaction amused him; he nestled his head into the curve of my neck and chuckled.

"Someone's jumpy this morning. You were so relaxed last night. Never seen anything like it."

I cringed at my actions last night. The powdered embarrassment from my cheeks seemed to spread to my whole body, it felt like flour. It encased me uncomfortably, covering every inch of my body.

"Never had quite so much fun myself, if I'm being honest. That's just the glow you had last night! Are you alright?"

I cleared my throat and shuffled forward towards the counter again. I mumbled an apology, sipped my coffee and bundled a buttery toast boulder into my mouth. At least I could still stop myself from saying anything to thicken the embarrassment.

"Come on then, I'm taking you out Jiminie! I'm hoping we'll see some pretty cool sights, but I reckon you'll end up being the prettiest by far." He pecked my cheek and wandered away to the sofa, gathering up his phone and wallet before pulling on his jacket. "Ready when you are, babe."

I gazed around me in awe. The sights were pretty cool. More than pretty cool in fact- it was beautiful. Jungkook had brought me to an aquarium full of some of the most vibrant sea creatures I had ever seen.

Everything around me seemed to be brighter. Jungkook seemed to light up the world around me. Finally it felt like I could edge out of the shadows and see my life with colour again.

Blue rippled around my head as we walked down a hallway surrounded by a huge tank full of fish. The path I walked on was a drab grey, speckled with pink bubblegum. I chose to focus on the life above me. For once I chose not to stare at my shoes, praying for the ground to gulp me down beneath it in one go.

We reached the end of the hallway and entered another room with sharks swimming round us. Their sharp teeth and menacing stares seemed out of place with my blushing cheeks and fluttering heart.

"So... what do you think?" Jungkook whispered, like the sharks would tap on the glass like disgruntled neighbours if we spoke too loud.

"It's pretty cool, Jungkook. Pretty cool."

"Really? That's all you can say? I saw you gazing at the fish back there, you looked pretty impressed to me!"

"Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't. I see fish every day as I walk past the pet store, what makes this any different?"

"This time you're with me. That's gotta be at least a little different to the miserable staff at that shop. I bet they'd never take you here."
