My body felt so sore. All the muscles in my body ached. I couldn't even think right. This was all Dominic's fault. All of it.

-A couple hours earlier-

"Clara, we knew that you were going out. We didn't know that you were going to be gone for the whole day. Worst of all, we had to find this out by some random stranger that we didn't even know. Why didn't you just call us? Your father was worried sick."

If you already could not guess by now, I was in the middle of a long and tiring lecture. This is how my day started. Fun right?

"Oh would you relax. She was fine. You didn't speak a word to me about Clara when you were eating that delicous meal with us. In fact, you even told me that it was the best meal you ever ate." my grandma said as she snuck a quick glance at me. When she caught me looking at her, she winked. I tried to fight a smile when I noticed grandpa laughing in the background.

"Now. Let's all take a breather and put this behind us." My shoulders relax when I notice my parents smile at my grandma.

"I have to go to work. I will see you in a bit." That was the last thing I said before I practically ran out of the house. The embarrassing thing that came out of running out the door was when I has to run back to grab my purse. There was definitely an awkward silence.

***

Once I entered the building, the first thing I saw was Hank. He was pretty hard to miss seeing as he was the only person other than Jessica who actually talked to me. He reminded me a lot like grandpa.

"Hey Hank. How are you?"

"I'm great, thanks for asking. Nobody really talks to me in this building but I warmed up to some people over the years. I don't want you to be late but be sure to tell your grandparents that I said hi." I mumbled a quick bye before entering the elevator.

Once I made it to the top floor, I glanced down at my watch and I let out a loud groan. I'm late. I sprinted past the aisle, trying my best to ignore the strange looks that people were giving me and barged into Dominic's office.

The first thing I saw when I came in Dominic's office was his fiancé. It was hard to miss her when half the time she is glaring at me. What did I do?

Before I can open my mouth to say something, the fiancé beat me to it.

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here. Tell me, are you always this late coming to work?"

How could I possibly answer that? Is it just me or does she remind me of a girl from Mean Girls?

She smirked when I didn't answer her and when I thought she was done speaking, she spoke again.

"Tell me Clara, what are you?"

"What do you mean what am I and how do you even know my name. I think it is fair to know what the name is of the person that I will be replying to." I said as I folded my arms against my chest and raised an eyebrow. Bring it on.

She smiled at the challenge that I was giving her. It's different how girls and guys fight. Guys usually fight with their fists. Girls fight with their minds and words. At this very moment, I wished that I was a guy.

"Oh how rude of me. I'm Sierra Willows. My family owns the Willow Industry. You might of heard about my family. We are kind of a big deal." she said as she flipped her hair. Okay, know I am postive that she is a girl from mean girls. She has to be.

"Oh right. I have heard of you. Doesn't your family own a matress company? I heard that you went bankrupt for about 6 months because of a bad deal. Sorry to hear that." I tried to sound a bit concerned for her. Dominic was still in the room although he was extremley quite. He just watched as me and what's her face argued back and forth.

I thought I saw a wrinkle on her forehead from frustration. Whatever I saw just a second ago vanished. "Thanks for keeping up to date about my family. Now enough about my family, how about I ask you again. What do you work as?"

"An asistant."

"For whom?"

"Dominic."

"Right. So what do you do as an assistant?" she asked.

"What do you mean, what do I do? I help out Dominic as much as I can. I run arrands, sort files and information, sceduale dates and plan out his day." I took a small glance at Dominic and when I did I caught him looking back at me. I quickly focused my attention to Sierra who was watching me closely. I knew by the look on her face that she saw me looking at Dominic.

"You said that you help Dominic as much as you can. Correct?" Is this a retorical question?

"Correct..." I said unsurley. Is this a trick question?

"Since you help out Dominic, I was wondering since he is my fiancé and all if I could steal Clara away for the day. I have a lot of work that needs to be done and you are obviously one of the best workers considering that you are his assistant. How about it babe?" she turned around to face him. I cringed as I heard her call him babe. Jealousy ran through my body. The things I would do to her if she wasn't his fiance.

"I don't see why not. Clara you are representing me so do your best. What do you need help on anyway?" He wrinkled his eyebrows as he went around his desk towards his computer.

Oh gosh. Please don't make me work for her. Who knows what she wants me to do. Dominic don't you see that you are about to ruin my life?

"Oh I just needed a couple of things that needed to be done. Come along Clara." With a wave of her fingers she gestured for me to exit his office. I gave Dominic one last harsh, furious glare before following behind her like one of her puppets.

I followed Sierra as she made her way to a white Wooden door. She opened the door and walked in gracefully while I was pretty careful where I was stepping. This place could have trap doors for all I know.

I slowly walked inside the room and when I looked around the room my heart stopped. It was like I was walking into a brand new house. The room had no furniture. None. When I turned around to face the door I noticed tons of boxes piled up against the wall. For something that is supposed to be empty it sure was pretty dirty. The floors were all dusty and the wall paint looked like it was fading out. This room definitely needed a make over. That is when it dawned on me.

I turned to look at Sierra. No doubt there was a look of horror on my face as I looked at her. This is why she wanted me so bad? She wanted me to clean this?

"You actually want me to clean all this? I'm an assistant, not a maid."

"You said it yourself. You try to help Dominic as much as you can am I right? Well this time you are helping me. Now fetch the cleaning supplies in the closet and get to work." Sierra said as she walked towards the window.

I made my way towards the closet and once I opened the closet door, to my luck, the broom fell right against my face. I cried out in pain as I grabbed on to my forehead. I grabbed my head as I moved back to take a breather.

I feel like everyday my luck gets worse and worse. I just had to agree to help out little miss perfect. In doing so, now I have to clean and unpack all the furniture in those boxes. Next I get hit in the head with a broomstick. What I didn't expect to happen is me backing up into the door that we came in from. I didn't think running into a door would be so bad.

What I didn't expect was for the door to be broken. Yes, you heard me right. I just locked myself in a room with my evil stepsister. Oh how I longed for the ending of this story to be thrusted upon me so that my knight in shining armour can save me.

I knew that nothing can save me now.
