Damon. Elena. Damon. Caroline. Bonnie. Back to Elena. Klaus.
My parents were out working at a restaurant hours away from here. My grandparents, well I don't actually know where they are. Is this all I ever do with my life? Watch Vampire Diaries and work? For the thirteenth time today I got up and went to the kitchen just to see what time it is. As I was walking toward the kitchen I stopped at a mirror.
Am I dressed up to casual? Should I add some jewelry? No Clara. Your fine. You are the one who said to dress casual. I shook my head as I walked toward the kitchen. 3:54. 6 more minutes. What should I do for 6 more minutes.
I looked down at my phone. As I stared up at the phone screen, as a thought came to me. All this time of getting up and going to the kitchen to see the clock when I have a phone to look at the time. I didn't even have to get up. I angrily unlocked the screen and scrolled down in the contacts. One person. Just one person was on my contact list and of course that was Dominic. I really am alone in this crazy world. The sound of a door bell interrupted my thoughts.
I quickly turned off the TV and opened the front door. There he was in his pitch black jeans and a white t-shirt. The t-shirt even had a tie! A tie! As I look at him, the only thought that is running in my strange head is I am so under dressed. I mean sure, the t-shirt and jeans is fine but did he really have to wear a tie? We were only going to go for a walk around the park.
"Hey. You ready?"
"Yeah." Just as I was going to exit the door, I remembered the basket on the kitchen counter.
"Oh wait! I forgot something! Be right back. It will only take a second." With that said I zoomed past the front door and into the kitchen. I looked at the wooden basket and opened it to make sure everything was in there. Wait. Where is the blanket? I felt like ripping my hair out as I searched for the blanket. I ran to where I was sitting before and found the blanket lying neatly on the table. I picked it up and stuffed it in the basket. I made sure that the TV was closed and ran out the door in a hurry, knowing that he was waiting for me.
"Sorry. I just forgot this." I said gesturing to the basket. He looked confused for a second but once he spotted the blanket in my hand he half smiled and started to walk beside me.
"So why exactly did you want to walk with me?"
"Well i wanted to get to know you. After all you are going to be my boss. Also, I feel like we got off to a rough start and that's really not the impression that i want my boss to have of me so here I am."
"Okay. Sounds like fun. Do you want to start or shall I?" he asked playfully
"I'll start um what is your favourite colour?" I asked already knowing the answer.
Really Clara? I actually asked him what his favourite colour was? I am so lame.
"I would have to say green. Why, I just don't know. I have always loved the colour green. You?" he asked.
"Blue. Reason, don't know." i replied.
Is this really how it's going to be? He doesn't act like himself anymore. The old him would have probably joked the first time I exited my house. Now we are talking about our favourite colours. Fun conversation that is not at all akward am I right folks?
All of a sudden I heard screaming on my left. I jumped out in fright as I looked in the direction of the noise. Once I found out the source of the screaming I calmed down. I realized that it wasn't screams of pain but laughter. In the distance there was little kids flying their kites.
"Scared of kites are we?"
"I'm not scared of kites! Actually i've never flew a kite before." I said truthfully. There was an expression on his face that was un readable. Even for me.
