Delphie's POV
I clicked to call Kyoya. It rang 3 times before he picked it up. He said, "Why'd you leave like that?! I was worried." I sighed, "It's okay. I'm fine." He said, "Where are you?" I said, "Uhmm... Outside Nutmeg Cafe, across from Opal Jewelers."
There was a click and the line went dead. So I sighed and went to my messages.
Kyo-chan:
Delphie are you okay?Kyo-chan:
I heard from Honey. You weren't at your office when I went. When did you get there?Kyo-chan:
Delphie you aren't here. Where are you? Why didn't you stay after you woke up? You had passed out. I'm still not sure if your head is okay from the fall.Honey:
Del-chan, where are you? Did you lie to me? Kyo-chan said you weren't at your office?Haruhi:
Delphie everyone is getting worried. Kyoya senpai is looking for you. We just want to be sure you're okay. Everyone has been at least a little worried about you since you passed out. Tamaki is freaked out about his "daughter." So please just let me know you're ok.Unknown:
Princess are you okay?? Daddy's really worried! Mommy is worried about you! Where are you?? We just want to help princessUnknown:
Princesssssss please respond to DaddyI automatically changed Unknown to Tamaki. I guess Honey gave him my phone number. Then I sighed going to respond to them.
To:Honey
I was at my office. I just got there and left really quickly. To:Haruhi
Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you guys. Guess I just didn't think it through. I apologize for that. To:Tamaki
I know it's you Tamaki. I'm okay.I stared at the limo that pulled up in front of me. The door opened and I saw Kyoya's hand extended out to me. I put my phone in my pocket and grabbed his hand. He tugged me into the limo then closed the door.
We sat in the peaceful silence till he broke it. He sighed, "I was stressed trying to find you. You weren't there and I can't analyze your brain function with you asleep." I looked at my lap, "I'm sorry Kyo-chan. I didn't mean to. I sent you a text when I left."
He gave me a hard look that I could feel on my head, "That means nothing. I can't gauge your health by a text." I looked at him, "Why are you so worried?" He looked away, "Cause you passed out at my family's resort."
I sighed, "Oh, so that's the commotion. I'm not suing or anything of the sort. You and your family are fine by me. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm okay." He looked at me, "Yet I'm still going to make sure you're perfectly well." I looked at my hands, "Alright, Kyo-chan."
-----
I sat staring at the white walls. I was internally screaming. They had done a scan and X-ray on my head. I wanted to storm right out. A nurse came in and looked at me sweetly but nervously.
She said, "lay down Miss Hontozuru." I did as told and continued looked at her. I doctor came in and turned of the light. We looked at my X-ray. He said, "Your skull is perfectly okay. You also have no bleeding on the brain." I nodded my head, "Alright, that sounds good sir." But then he put up my scan. I stared in silence as he pointed at the big white dot. His voice shook a little, "That's a brain tumor." Then he pointed at two more white dots, "So are those."
I said, "So... I have cancer?" He said, "No, they are noncancerous massses. Yet they can cause a blood clot or a stroke." I sighed, "So what are my options?"
----
After all the talking I set up an appointment for Thursday. Thankfully it's currently Sunday. They're having their best surgeon come in to operate on me. I gently got into Kyoya's limo and started the drive home. Kyoya said, "So... brain tumors?"I gently nodded with a light smile, "Yeah... so thanks for making me come. Otherwise we wouldn't have caught it for a while." Kyoya nodded and looked out the window. He seemed slightly tense but the air was still relaxed.
When we got home he got out holding the door for me. I got out and offered him a smile, "Thanks Kyo-chan." I gently started up to my door. Then I turned around to wave bye to Kyoya.
Kyoya's POV
Delphie stood waving with the door open. Then a blonde maid came to her and she entered the house closing the door. How did her family's doctors not catch her having a brain tumor? I got in the car and slammed my fist in the seat beside me.
She's so sweet and kind. Most people in her position would've tried to commit suicide by this point. But she doesn't. Why? Well maybe because she's different from the other.
I opened my black notebook to the one page dog eared on the bottom corner so I could easily find it.
