14-The Answer

Kyoya's POV

I sat at my table with my guests. One was blankly observing me. Others looked on at me in awe. I could tell they were speaking, but I couldn't register what they were saying.

After around and hour of being in such a daze all the girls began leaving the room. I looked up to notice Tamaki going to the door and waving the girls goodbye. Tamaki turned around gently staring at me, "What's the matter Kyoya?"

I said, "I'll figure it out. I didn't get much sleep last night." Haruhi said, "Kyoya senpai you need to rest." I retorted with, "I know." The twins said, "But you love sleep." Hikaru said, "You know you're scary..." Kauro finished, "when you don't get it, right?"

Honey came over gently pouting, "Kyo-chan we don't like it when you feel bad." I gently said, "I'm the least one to worry about." Haruhi replied, "Why is that Kyoya senpai?" I scratched my head, "Well right now Delphie... Well she's hooked up on ivs. She had a difficult surgery. Even with the best surgeon in Japan... There was a 20% chance she'd die..."

Honey's eyes teared up, "So Del-chan... is she okay?" I let my head hang, "We won't know till she wakes up." Tamaki said, "What type of surgery was it Kyoya?" I sighed, "A surgery to remove tumors on the brain. Even if she lives there's a 50% chance she'll have some paralysis."

Honey said, "Can we see her?" I thought about it, "I don't know. She's still unconscious. She got out of operation after 4 hours. So she got out at midnight." Tamaki smiled, "That's good, that at least means she's alive."

I nodded, "Yeah I stayed up to hear whether she survived surgery." Hikaru said, "That's kind of..." Kauro finished, "depressing senpai." Mori nodded in agreement. I sighed, "I told them to contact me when she became conscious... But they haven't." Haruhi said, "So she's been out of surgery for 14 hours?" I nodded a yes.

I walked in as a butler came up greeting me and handing me a letter. In neat cursive it said, 'To: Kyoya Ootori' I sighed and headed to my room sitting down at my desk. What does this person want? I turned it around to see pale green wax dripped then sealed with an ornate letter H.

I carefully opened it then unfolded th paper gently.

'Dear Ootoris,

I'm very delighted at your proposal. I wish to officially accept the engagement. I very much understand how it's beneficial and there is much to gain. I also like mental stimulation, in things such as intellectual pursuits. So I agree in the factor that me and Kyoya could compliment each other mentally. While there is also benefit to our businesses. I hope that this proposal makes us both prosperous. Let's go over this proposal and officially set it up sometime next week.

I stared at the paper. I felt a lone tear fall down my face, "She accepted... Delphie..." My phone started rapidly buzzing. I sighed hitting the button, "Yes?" I knew my voice had came out deadly. She said, "Um... Sir... She... She woke up..."

I stood up excitedly, "Really? Can I come see her?!" I walked out not minding my uniform just walking. She said, "Y-yes sir you can." I rushed out ending the call. I excitedly started a group call.

[all hosts connect]
Me:"Hey guys."
Honey:"What is it Kyo-chan? Me and Takashi are on a break from practice."
Hikaru:"Yeah senpai..."
Kauro:"what is it?"
Tamaki:"Kyoya you called me! I'm so happy!"
Haruhi:"Senpai calm down."
Me:"Delphie is conscious. I'm on my way to the hospital to check on her."
Honey:"Yay! Del-chan is awake!"
Twins unison:"Yes. She's the fighter!"
Haruhi:"Oh that's great. Kyoya Senpai tell us how she is. I want to see her myself. But..."
Tamaki: "Oh my precious darling daughter is awake! Daddy's on his way!"
[Tamaki disconnects]
Hikaru:"I mean he has the right idea."
Kauro:"Meet you guys there."
[Hikaru and Kauro disconnect]
Honey:"Oh yay Del-chan!"
[Honey Disconnects]
[Mori disconnects]
Me:"Haruhi?"
Haruhi:"I guess I'll find a way there too. Guess I'll see you Kyoya Senpai."
[call disconnected]

I let out a sigh of relief, "I'll meet you guys there." I rushed down the stairs on my way to her.

I walked into the room the hosts trailing silently beside me. She laid there, the ivs in her arm. She was staring at a German dictionary. It's still her. I said, "Delphie." She said, "Yes?" I said gently, "Delphie can you remember us?"

She turned and stared, "Kyo-chan, Mori, Honey, Haruhi, Tamaki, Hikaru and Kauro." She gently smiled at us closing her book. Tamaki said, "My darling daughter!" Haruhi shushed him as Mori held him so he didn't rush to Delphie. I sat on the foot of the bed and Haruhi followed sitting on the other side.

Delphie said, "Oh yeah Haruhi. Can you bring me back the doll and the photo album." Haruhi smiled in recognition, "Sure Delphie."

I said, "Well hey Delphie. Are you paralyzed at all?" Everyone went silent and Delphie took in a breath.
