29-Passing Time

Kai's POV

Hiro came over to me and patted me on my head. He's became 5"11 like dad while I'm 5"4 (heights the same as Haruhi to Kyoya). Hiro said, "You ready?" I looked down at the dress, No this stupid yellow thing is hot. I don't like wearing it, it's a gross color. Rin came over to us, "I think you'll do fine Kai." Hiro said, "Class 1-A won't be that bad guys." Rin said, "Kai it's just high school."

Rin is even taller then Hiro at 6"0. I stared at him, Yeah says you. You skipped grades to get up to being in high school right now. Rin sighed, "Sis I only skipped one grade." Hiro then patted Rin's head. Hiro said, "Come on guys. We should go to school." I nodded my head as we headed outside.

I stared down at my phone.
Mom-Kai I hope school goes good for you today. Sorry Isabella transferred to Lobelia last year. Yet I believe you'll enjoy Ouran. Rin is in your class and Hiro is there for you too.

I shook my head then grabbed my bag gently. I held it in front of me. Hiro called, "Come on guys lets go." Rin threw his bag over his shoulder then grabbed mine. I smiled and offered a nod in thanks.

Sadly the best word to probably describe me is fragile or delicate. I followed my brothers to the limo. I calmly got in. Then Rin sat my bag onto my lap, "You'll be fine Kai." I stared at him, Not really. This dress is hideous. Can't you tell.

Rin gently sighed, "Yes, I can see. Don't make it worse though." Rin then continued, You look pretty today. You'll be the Rose of our high school years. I rolled my eyes then glared at him. Hiro changed topics, "So Rin you going to join me on the football team? Cause I think that..."

-- One Month Later --

I sat staring at the football field. Hiro stood at the line. Hiro is number 43. Rin sat beside me holding my hand tightly. The game was tied and there were only 5 minutes left. I just took a deep breath and stared at the field.

Rin's POV

I couldn't get myself to let go of Kai's hand. It's only the first game of the season and it's so intense. I said, "I believe in you Hiro." Kai squeezed my hand back. I looked at her and she squeezed my hand. I nodded and she offered a small smile.

Hiro's POV

I sat at the table across from Kai and Rin. I ate a cheeseburger as they drank their shakes. Rin commented, "I'm glad you did really good!" I smiled, "Yeah, me and the team know when to pull it together." Kai gently smiled and offered a thumbs up.

Rin said, "Hiro that club won't leave me alone." I sighed, "Well which one?" Rin calmly said, "The host club." I smiled, "Rin... that's the one dad co founded a long long time ago." Rin sighed, "But I don't want to entertain girls. Why should I? It'd end up playing with their feelings in the end."

I said, "Of  course that's true. I know that's why you're defensive. But you may meet your soulmate there." Rin sighed, "I know but still..." Kai stared at us, Why not though? You'd have something to do after school. Rin said, "I'm fine with just hanging out with you in the gardening club."

Rin sat with me on my bed, "I don't think so." I said, "Well you don't fave to be a host if you don't want to." Rin sighed, "Alright then." I said, "I'm proud of you though." Rin stared at me confused, "Hmm?" I shook my head, "Well you take a straightforward approach to caring for Kai. I mean most people think you're twins and you're the older of the pair."

Rin scratched the back of his head, "I guess so, but someone has to take care of Kai." I nodded, "Of course but it's about time you stop being so overprotective. There's a dude that likes her. But he doesn't want to approach her with you around?"

Rin stood up, "How would you know that?!" I calmly replied, "He's on the football team, he's in class 1-C." Rin said, "but are they a good person?" I said, "Welllll..." Rin burst out, "so they're a bad person?! Then Kai should never be with them!" I said, "Hush... it's okay. He looks scary, but he's not a bad guy. I can tell through his eyes. And my gut tells me so."

Rin mumbled, "You and mom with your gut feelings. Ughhh... I'll surrender a little. Tell me the guys name though." I said, "Tetsu Kasanoda." Rin said, "That red head with dark green eyes?" I chimed, "Oh so you know him?"

Rin said, "Funny I can't forget anyone. He's from the Kasanoda Gumi. His dad is Ritsu Kasanoda, their current leader. Tetsu is in class 1-C with blood type B positive. Sometimes referred to as 'deadly Christmas,' how could I forget him?" I said, "He's not a bad guy." Rin said, "Not sure if I should believe you on that one."

I sighed, "Give it a try though. Not for me, for Kai. It used to be Isabelle and you. Now you're the only one in her class. It'll be okay though. Just let her explore on her own." Rin stated, "Yet Hiro consider it... Not many people in our school know sign language. Not even me and Kai's homeroom teacher."

I laid back with my legs still off the bed, "Well Tetsu has been trying to learn." Rin stated, "Really?" I calmly said, "Yeah really. I've been helping him learn. Trust me Rin he truely likes Kai."

--- Two Months Later---

Tetsu's POV

I noticed Kai sitting in the veranda in the rose garden. I walked up to her, "Hello, my name is Tetsu Kasanoda." Kai smiled at me giving me a stare. I smiled with relaxation. Kai has such a calming atmosphere. I nodded, What's your name? Her eyes lit up, ah, you can speak sign language too.

I nodded yes, Yet only a little, basic stuff. She continued smiling, Well my name is Kai Ootori-Hontozuru. I smiled, "Nice to meet you Kai." She stood up, Same to you Tetsu. Well we should both get off to class. I nodded yes then she started her way out of the rose garden. I loved her brilliantly brown eyes and dazzling brunette hair. I softly mumbled, "Kai..."

A/n: I will try to have this done by the end of June but I'm not exactly sure if I'll be able to anymore. Yet I'll try, there's only one more chapter. Hope that you've enjoyed it so far.
